On June 16, 2026, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the celebration marking the 25th anniversary of the founding of the newspaper El Confidencial at the Mandarin Oriental Ritz Hotel in Madrid.

During the ceremony, the King and Queen presented the first El Confidencial Investigative Journalism Awards. The awards consist of a sculpture created by artist Lita Cabellut.

The National Award was presented to La Marea, an online daily magazine; the International Award went to Aristegui Noticias, a Mexican digital news platform; and the Career Achievement Award was presented to Dean P. Baquet, former Executive Editor of The New York Times and recipient of the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service.

    This is a beautiful dress, and it fits Letizia like a glove. Wonderful dramatic gold design, and the shoes go well with it. I see she's worn it previously, in her high heeled days - I much prefer the shoes she is wearing now.

    This is a beautiful dress and lovely to see a rewear. The gold design print is very effective, and gracefully crafted. A very flattering and attractive dress. I like the gold accessories, shoes and clutch. Her earrings are eye catching. I would have preferred her hair up, I feel maybe last wear as in photo, her hair was shorter maybe?
    The King looks well groomed and attired, he has a real commanding presence, but quietly dignified.

    This is "floral" how I like it: not all-over and multicoloured from top to the toes ( multicolour can be fun, but not so much of it). Less is more, referring to both, pattern and colours.

    I remember this gorgeous dress from some years ago. I was wondering when we would get to see it again. The beautiful floral pattern against the black background looks sensational. It has an oriental or Japanese look IMHO.

      Je suis d'accord avec vous Sandra, j'avais aimé cette robe aussi la première fois et je trouve qu'elle a un style asiatique. Noir et or c'est ultra-chic ! Pourtant je n'aime pas particulièrement les motifs fleuris mais ici c'est une réussite. La perfection !

    This is a beautiful dress, very striking and elegant on Letizia. I think I liked the black strappy shoes she wore with it previously better, but I know she likely can’t wear those anymore due to her foot problems. The gold shoes are not bad at all as a substitute.
