On 13 June, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with commemorative events. To mark the occasion, the King and Queen released a wedding photograph taken in 1976 showing the Royal Couple and their bridal party, along with a family portrait taken during the celebrations of their golden wedding anniversary.
Both photographs were taken in front of one of Queen Christina’s so-called coronation tapestries. They were created in the late 1640s in Delft, in preparation for Queen Christina’s coronation. The 1976 photograph was taken by photographer Lennart Nilsson, while the golden wedding anniversary family portrait was taken by photographer Linda Broström.
For the occasion, Crown Princess Victoria wore a new pale yellow jacket and skirt by Safiyaa, Princess Madeleine wore a new floral jacket and flared skirt by Roland Mouret, and Princess Sofia wore a new pink “Adele” dress by Lilli Jahilo.

حذفA very nice family! But the placement of the King's children and grandchildren looks slightly asymmetrical to me (there are more people on the Queen's side, than on the King's). Plus putting Daniel right in the middle between the King and the Queen looks a little bit weird to me. I would try to mix the grandchildren to avoid the overload of black on the left side.
ردحذفDaniel stands not in the middle between Silvia and Carl Gustaf but in the second row next to his wife. Just like Carl Philip stands next to Sofia and Chris next to Madeleine. The children/ grandchildren stand next to their parents. What should be wrong with that?

حذفThey are grouped by smaller family units within the larger family unit. To me, it looks very nice and makes sense. Daniel in the middle balances the ladies’ hats. I am amazed by their ability to get a good picture with that many children involved!

حذفAnon.21:00. This is an official photo. Everyone is wearing a formal attire. The picture is taken in a formal setting. You can't claim 100% that the family memberscould decide for themselves where to stand, and it wasn't the photographer, who made all the placing arrangements.

ردحذفOne thing that caught my eye in the line‑up: there seems to be a visible gap between Princess Madeleine and Chris. She is standing noticeably closer to Prince Daniel than to her husband. I find myself missing a bit of the usual closeness between couples, and this not for the first time.
Just a personal observation — not meant as criticism.

ردحذفBeautiful photos. I have to admit loving CP Victoria's lemon suit, this looked stunning. I loved the design and style. She wore antique earrings, they looked lovely, and a gorgeous bracelet. I think her shoes/clutch are black, I would have loved Navy, slight quibble. The main thing is she wore what appealed to her and was happy with that is all that matters!

What a wonderful new family photo. Their wedding day photo with two of them happily smiling into the future. And now 50 years later as the proud parents of 3 children and proud grandparents for 9 grandchildren. Sad that Estelle missed the celebrations and wasn't on this historic photo.

Princess Madeleine is always so pretty and elegant and she's a vision in white. Victoria has this time chosen something classic and stylish. Princess Sofia in pink looks lovely, just as Queen Sillvia in red. And I could not help but admire her trim legs. She's 82 and her legs still look wonderful. She shows that age is just a number.

Wow all the male members from the youngest to the oldest in black suits. The ladies look great. Not a fan of Sofias hat it is like a plate on the side of her head; her dress is lovely and great color too, I wished she wore her hair in an updo, maybe the hat would have been different. Madeleine is looking stunning she is a beautiful lady. So is Victoria really liking her pale-yellow suit. The Queen in red stunning. I think the winner is Pss Ines, lovely dress and super cute little girl.

What a lovely portrait of the family. I love that butter yellow suit of Princess Victoria, and that open round collar is especially eye catching, different. Princess Sophia’s dress is both gorgeous, the colour and the fit -very becoming.
