On June 30, 2026, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima, and Crown Princess Amalia of the Netherlands attended the extraordinary meeting of the Council of State to mark the farewell of Mr Thom de Graaf as Vice-President. The gathering took place at the Council of State building at Kneuterdijk Palace in The Hague.
Thom de Graaf will step down on July 1 and will be succeeded by Mr Sybrand van Haersma Buma. The Council of State is one of the High Councils of State of the Netherlands. It serves as an independent adviser to the government and parliament on legislation and governance and acts as the country’s highest general administrative court.
For the occasion, Queen Máxima wore a green high-neck floral midi dress by Natan Couture, while Princess Amalia wore the Tilly midi wrap dress by Diane von Furstenberg. She previously wore this dress during her visit to the Dutch Caribbean islands in 2023.

Both ladies in a boring dress. Amalia: far above her age ( as often): something youthfull and still a appropriate for the occasion : one would think that can be found.
ReplyDeleteHeels so high they are nearly walking on their toes, like they are not tall enough!
