On June 2, 2026, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, and Princess Estelle attended the inauguration of Aurora Borealis Star Dome in Princess Estelle’s Sculpture Park on Royal Djurgården in Stockholm. This year’s new addition to the sculpture park was created by the Spanish artist Cristina Iglesias, who is renowned for her monumental public installations and whose works are featured in museums around the world.

Cristina Iglesias’ new sculpture, Aurora Borealis Star Dome, has been installed at the highest point of the Rosendal area. The 5.5-metre-tall sculpture features a dome-like structure made of branches cast in aluminium. At the top of the sculpture, a lantern of coloured glass opens upward, capturing and filtering daylight in a design inspired by the Northern Lights.

What an wonderful experience! Everyone looks very happy here. Victoria's dress is unusual, slightly vintage in appearance; I love it! Estelle looks sweet in her dress and I'm sure is delighted with this new addition to her park. The sculpture is amazing, I would love to go to there and see this and the other installations.

More than 10 000 for Victoria's dress but only 4000 for Estelle's dress!

Princess Estells dress reminds me on Queen Camillas signature look, except the length. Though she is looking happy.

Excuse me, but isn't her dress too long espcially with trainers. Or does she get a pass too ?

It is a bit long but one does not chop off a hem for a onetime hike along a rugged hilly path. I am sure it will look much better when she wears it with higher heeled sandels like the model. It is not my taste but she looks very nice and cool in it.

CP Victoria : a casual summer dress but too long. Otherwise it looks nice
Princess Estelle : a beautiful young dress for a beautiful young princess, but the sleeves seem to be too long. Is there no one in the palace who can make her sleeves shorter. It cannot be that difficult.

I will be so happy when the fashion for wearing clunky trainers with absolutely everything finally goes away. Such an awkward, ugly look. And no, I’m not suggesting stiletto heels as the alternative.

Did you looked at the surface on which they walked. Not easy to walk on with classic flat shoes like loafers or mocassins. During the summer CP Victoria, Princess Madeleine and the others used to wear espadrilles with their summer dresses, but here that would not be recommended because your ankles are better supported in trainers than in espadrilles.
I do not think it has to do with fashion. People are taking more care of their feet than before. They wear the shoes needed according the circumstances with anti slip soles, etc...

10:14 what would you wear typically with a dress to have comfort and walk ability ? I LOVE the trend of sneakers with dresses and want it to endure forever. It is so practical and looks so cool. It’s also accessible to almost everyone.

The dress is wearing CP Victoria, imo. The pattern is overwhelming, too long, too voluminous, sneakers add to the overall sense of her drowning in her clothes.

Yes to everything. Plus disclaimer: no, NO, I am not bashing Victoria. I just intensely dislike this overly busy, too-much-of-everything dress.

I am speechless - not even Estelle looks good in this type of dress. Both outfits are like a caricature of fashion.

Estelle looks beautiful. She’s a child - and should not be open to criticism.

20:50 in response to your question: If I considered the terrain unsuitable for anything but trainers, I would wear trousers, which look much better and more appropriate with trainers than dresses do.
