On May 6, 2026, the Princess of Wales visited the University of East London to launch a new online resource provided by the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, founded by the Princess of Wales in 2021. For the engagement, the Princess of Wales wore a classic suit that she has had in her wardrobe since 2023: a beige Roland Mouret single-breasted blazer with matching wide-leg trousers.

These pants look odd to me because they appear very long from waist to crotch. The outfit is fine, albeit rather bland.

I agree Royal Watcher. I think she needs colour
DeleteIt's because she are to thin, and her hair are to long, dhoulder length would look very good.
DeleteBut she like it like that and it's her hair
She looks so elegant, fresh and modern!
ReplyDeleteFinally. 👍
DeleteWhile I like the color combo, the trousers are poor fitting and distract from the otherwise well groomed outfit.
ReplyDeleteShe looks very nice but for some reason I don't like the cut of these pants around the hips and waist. I think the overall effect definately looks better with the blazer closed and buttoned. JMO.
ReplyDeleteI think it’s because there isn’t a button, zip, belt or belt loops.
DeleteThe look like pull up pants, spandex
DeleteI think something is wrong with the inseam in her pants. Otherwise it’s a nice outfit and she looks very happy.
ReplyDeleteCe costume est élégant surtout avec la touche blanche du chemisier !
ReplyDeletehigh-waisted pants are fashionable now (again) - new fashion and we all have to get accustomed to it, like to the wide pants. For me, the problem is not that they go up to the waist, high, but that they are skin tight, which is somehow legging-like - with the legs ending wide. Awkward somehow. - For me, to wear beige, if it has to be, then with colour on the lips or in case of a pant suit, a black top. I admit I don't like this outfit. For me, Charlene is the only one who an wear blergh with blergh and look good.
ReplyDeletei agree. i thought Catherine could wear any colour but this is the exception
DeleteThe body part of the pants is too high. Being low waisted it is not a good cut for her. The jacket is lovely but it could be paired with another colour than a white blouse.
ReplyDeleteIt is okay, but an example of how proportions are off. The high waist, and we don’t have to accept this fashion, and skin tight, does emphasize thinness but is not always flattering. I like this blouse with it, but miss a darker lipstick to brighten her face. Overall she looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteNot sure about the pants, something I cannot put my finger on. The jacket is nice, but enclosed would have looked better. The blouse works in well. She looks lovely, but I do find this overall look bland. Love her necklace and earrings.
ReplyDeleteIMO she has a long torso and these high waisted pants emphasize the focus to a lower area. I personally think these colors aren’t flattering on the duchess, but if she doesn’t want to wear any colors, then an eye catching necklace would help shift the focus up to her beautiful face.
ReplyDeleteDuchess??
DeleteShe is still the Duchess of Cambridge. That is one of many titles she has bestowed upon her.
DeleteI agree
Delete13:48 not how she is currently styled
Deletewere bought a few sizes too big in orderto accomodate her height and were alterered by somebody who hasn't a clue about tailoring. The crotch is too long, they have taken in not only on the side, hips and the waist but also the top area of her thighs. The pockets (see the model foto) which may have been zipped but if not have been sewn down are now being pulled at, instead of sitting nicely on the hips.
ReplyDeleteI don’t believe the wide leg trouser is flattering on Catherine. She looks far better in a slim leg trouser. It’s RM suit so tailoring is expected.
ReplyDeleteLowri.
I don’t find the width of the pant leg the issue it is the pull on look that is not flattering. It needs a belt or something
DeleteAn okay look.
