On May 7, 2026, Queen Letizia of Spain visited Pamplona, Navarre, to take part in two activities marking World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, accompanied by the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska. The day began with a visit to the “Espacio Activo” Comprehensive Care Center, an initiative of the Red Cross in Navarre aimed at older people, caregivers, and their close communities.
Afterward, the Queen presided over the central event marking the 2026 World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, commemorated on May 8 in the 191 countries where the humanitarian organization operates. During the event, the Spanish Red Cross presented its 2026 Gold Medals to individuals and organizations that have made a significant social impact.

Rarely overdressed, never underdressed, and mostly putting together relatively simple well priced items into an elegant but comfortable and very successful ensemble. Love the simplicity of this outfit that works throughout the different components of her day. She - according to just me - is the only woman in the world who can successfully wear a pussy bow; this however is not a style I would copy!
ReplyDeleteAgree with you. Mary often shows this art of building a striking composition from simple pieces that would be unspectacular in themselves. Here it is this very unusual combination of a black pussy bow - with a baby pink jacket ... I would never wear it, but it looks excellent!

DeleteThe pink blazer is beautiful against the black separates but I prefer the way Letizia wore it previously with the round neck top. The bow is too obtrusive and matronly. I like the simplicity of the one button design.

DeleteShe looks good in this pink blazer. I also took out of my closet my pink blazer which I bought 2 years ago. After I brought it to the dry cleaning I can still wear it another summer. Queen Letizia gave me the idea to wear it with black trousers and top, but I don't know if this color combination will suit me. The black trousers will not be the problem I think, but adding a black top or blouse will not look good on me. I must look what I still have and can wear another summer, before I will buy a new top. Like many people I will not buy many new things for the summer already. Wait and see how much money I'll have to save to pay for gas and electricity next winter.

ReplyDeleteBien plus âgée qu elle, je me mets à porter du rose pâle ou bleu pâle et je n ai que des compliments. On me dit toujours : tu ne fais pas ton âge, cela fait plaisir à entendre et comme on dit chez moi , un compliment ne mange pas de pain😄
While I am not a fan of pussy bows, this is a minor quibble when compared to the striking combo of the Queen's black and pink. Perfect length of the jacket and her outfit fits her perfectly. This is a good business casual, chic look for Letizia.
