King Charles III and Queen Camilla are making a three-day visit to Northern Ireland. On the second day of her visit, Queen Camilla met with local businesses in Hillsborough, County Down. The Queen also visited the popular pub The Parson’s Nose, the village’s oldest shop, grocer ER Wilson, and Arthur’s Café. For the occasion, the Queen wore a navy blue dress by Fiona Clare, paired with a navy blue coat by The Fold.

The Queen is on a fabulous coat streak! She looks wonderful in this navy coat and the green scarf is a great addition.
ReplyDeleteNow this is a coatdress I love. Beautiful navy color, the design of this coat, is very good. I have never heard of the maker of this garment before - The Fold. Appears she wore a silk green scarf, nice splash of color. Lovely to see her wearing a subtle brooch, perfect for the navy background of her coat. This was a great visit by Camilla, how marvelous to walk into the oldest Grocer shop, I have not been in one since I was a little girl!
ReplyDeleteCe n'est pas une robe-manteau, elle porte une robe + un manteau (relisez la dernière phrase du texte de présentation).
DeleteVery nice dark blue coat!
DeleteVery stylish on the Queen. Love her latest fashion choices.

きっと人々は喜んだことでしょう。
女王陛下はおいしいギネスビールを召し上がったのでしょうか。
I don't know what the British royal ladies see in a coat-dress. I don't like them on any body. The color is much too dark for Spring. Q. Camilla looked so much better in her pale blue/greyish coat during the visit to Northern Ireland.
ReplyDeleteOh 16:27, have you seen the weather in spring here? It’s so up and down, it cannot be all about pastels and florals! Where DOES this idea come from, so often repeated here, that colours can be wrong for spring?! It’s not European … can it be American I wonder?
DeleteAnon 18:33 - As an American, there are some seasonal color traditions, although largely outdated, but I believe that navy blue is a year round color, not only meant for cold weather months.
DeleteThank you 22:07 for helping me understand!
Delete@ I still preferred her in the light blue coat. Your weather is the same weather as on the other side of the channel (North Sea). I myself have not worn summer clothes already, but I am trying to wear sweaters in brighter colors as we are in the month of May. I am not American, but European and it is only during the last, let's say 5 years, maybe more that ladies are wearing dark and light colors in all seasons. The only exceptions in Europe are the southern countries like Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, etc... where (older) women are wearing black colors even during summer when it is 30°C and more. For an older woman like Q.Camilla and myself I still prefer lighter and brighter colors during spring and summer and a bit darker colors (not necessary black, dark grey or navy) during autumn and winter. I know on this blog there is a group of people who think women are wearing the same colors and type of clothes like in their own country. Each year the collections for the coming seasons are coming out with as well brighter clothes and darker clothes. It is up to the client to buy what she/he likes and what suits him/her. Florals is something Queen Camilla still wears too and which has disappeared slowly but surely since the last 2 years. Pastels are available during the whole year, in lighter fabrics for spring and summer and thicker fabrics for autumn and winter.
DeleteQ Camilla looks great i like the navy coat.
