On Monday, May 11, 2026, Princess Charlène, accompanied by her brother Gareth Wittstock, took part in the release of a red-footed falcon at the CERGA Astronomical Observatory on the Calern Plateau in Caussols. After more than eight months of intensive care and rehabilitation, as well as the use of innovative medical techniques, the exceptional migratory bird, which migrates between Asia and South Africa, was able to regain its freedom and rejoin others of its species during the migration period.

Princess Charlène of Monaco then traveled to Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne to visit the Instinct Animal – SOS Faune Sauvage care center. Opened on June 30, 2025, the facility in the Alpes-Maritimes region has already taken in nearly 2,000 injured and distressed wild animals. The center also cares for animals from neighboring departments, including Var, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, and Hautes-Alpes.

Great look. I am not keen on the tendrils, I prefer a fringe. Lovely to see her brother with her.

PC always seems in her element when a visit consists of animals/birds or with children. These photos show a happy and relaxed PC. Fashion wise, she’s dressed appropriately for the occasion.
    Lowri.

Perfect outfit for an outdoor event handling a falcon, as one does sometimes on a Monday. She wears these classic pieces well and I love the sunglasses!!!

In photo #2, the resemblance between Gareth and Prince Jacque is quite startling!

She is a true animal lover! The only royal who devotes much attention to these charities, for which she deserves a big round of applause! (Same for Queen Camilla.)
