On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène attended the 17th edition of the Monaco Blue Initiative (MBI), held at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco. On this occasion, a partnership agreement between the Princess Charlène of Monaco Foundation and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation was officially signed, placing sport at the heart of ocean awareness and preservation efforts.

As part of this initiative, the Princess Charlène of Monaco Foundation will organise a public awareness event in the coming weeks. Through this collaboration, the two foundations are bringing together sport, civic engagement, and environmental responsibility around three major issues: drowning prevention, swimming education, and the protection of marine biodiversity in the Mediterranean.

What a wonderful choice of outfit for the occasion! The aqua swirls capture the spirit of the event perfectly. The dress also suits Charlene’s body type perfectly. The sling-back style makes even the light-coloured shoes look great. -Siri

Charlene looks lovely in this dress. I like the break from the pattern
pattern at the top of the dress, otherwise it could have looked a bit too much.
Charlene's hair and makeup look perfect which is nearly always the case.

PC looks stunning in this. I like her longer, softer hair style here, the dress is beautiful, and it seems she is more wedded to doing these kinds of outings. A part of me thinks she looks generally happier, which is wonderful to see.

  8. Trés bon choix sur le thème de l’océan même si à mon avis, une ceinture blanche aurait mieux convenu !

Very nice dress. Just a small detail, but the black as posed by the designer on the model is a quite a harsh contrast, I wonder why they chose that over the navy blue that Charlene is wearing that looks so smart without being jarring. Is that black strong contrast a current trend I wonder? Charlene looks lovely, of course, but she has surely overdone her recent facial fillers. I wonder at which point famous ladies who have done so much facial enhancement let themselves gracefully age? - that’s not a criticism but a genuine wondering that perhaps others have also wondered?

I agree that the navy belt and the Princess herself look wonderful in this interesting dress. I also wonder with you about the pressure on such famous ladies to continuously try to perfect their faces. Can’t be easy, eh?

    2. Anonymous 12:20, if you say the truth about Charlene and her plastic surgery her devoted fans will jump at your throat.
Which is even more ridiculous when compared with her sister-in-law Caroline, who is a natural beauty and ages gracefully.

      @ Coralie
No comparison possible with Princess Caroline who WAS a natural beauty. She is still a good looking person but one can see her face had too much sunshine and cigarette smoke in the past. She would better make a choice about her hair too. In the beginning of spring she looks more blond. After a couple of weeks she looks partly blond and gray to end in a gray color which does not look very natural to me.
Charlene had cosmetic surgery and all kind of non chirurgical treatments. She has a complete different face than on the day she got engaged to Prince Albert.
Both ladies had a part of their life which was not so happy. Princess Caroline coped with it without plastic surgery and Princess Charlene coped with it by using regularly surgery and treatments.
I think with all the money they have a good but not too severe treatment will do. For Caroline it is too late anyway. For Charlene I hope she will stop now and just take care or her skin like anybody else. I see she doesn't stay in the sun because her skin is very fair. That is something what more women should do.

  11. The way the print of this dress is arranged is spectacular. I like the way the shoulders and hem are left plain while the floral print goes from small to large as you go down the dress. It's a very creative and imaginative design. My only criticism is I wish Charlene would have chosen a thin belt instead of the thicker one. It interupts the flow of the print. Otherwise it's an amazing outfit. Something I could see her late mother-in-law Princess Grace wearing in an Alfred Hitchcock movie.

Great dress and I completely agree that a thinner belt would enhance the overall look. I personally don’t like the pearl necklace, but that’s just my preference.

    2. It's not just your preference, for me also pearls don't match with this very interesting ang beautifil dress.

Wow what a nice dress, suits her very well. Sleeve length is perfect as is the skirt. Pearls, hair, all resulting in a fabulous look. Love it.

unlike PoW Charlene does not like being compared to her mother-in-law. watch her early interviews

That’s interesting 17:41 as I thought she was actively and deliberately changing herself to look more and more like her! Oops.

      @ 17:41 & 21:15
In Europe it has always been said in the beginning of her marriage that it was Prince Albert who wished her to do all these interventions to look like his mother Grace. It is known he has a hugh admiration for his mother. It can be gossip or something that was published in the gutter press. I don't know.
It is also known that people, especially women who are not happy with their life are looking more quickly for all kind of cosmetical & other interventions and once they have started they cannot stop (in time).

This lovely dress is too much “upgraded”. In essence it is a shirt dress which asks for a bit of nonchalant accessories. So, no pearl necklace and no white shoes with high heels. I think the dress and Charlène would profit from that.

    1. Yes, definitely, pearl necklace and elegant white shoes are a mismatch with original character of the dress.

What a lovely Summer dress. A fitting design and color for such an event. I love she added the oceans own jewellery, the pearls as an added bonus. As always her hair and makeup are on point.

It is a beautiful dress; the fabric pattern reminds me of Dutch Delftware (Dutch Blue).

This is not Delfts blue. Only the color remembers the Dutch porcelain. Delfts blue has specific drawings of flowers, persons and landscapes.

  19. This dress is gorgeous, I love the color the pattern of the fabric, very attractive, blue/white colors gorgeous. Love the skirt of the dress, nice swish! Love the blue belt. The length of the sleeves, perfect as is the length of the dress. The pearl are a wonderful addition and perfect finishing touch.
