Countess Athena, the daughter of Prince Joachim and Princess Marie of Denmark, was confirmed on May 2, 2026, at Georgetown Lutheran Church in Washington, D.C. A series of photographs taken on the occasion of Countess Athena’s confirmation has been released. The images were captured by photographer Zahra Khadir.
On the occasion of the confirmation, family photographs of Countess Athena with her parents, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, and her siblings, Count Henrik, Count Nikolai, and Count Felix, were also taken at the family’s home in Washington. The Georgetown Lutheran Church, where the ceremony was held, is located near the family’s residence.

I think the photo where they are holding her up is somewhat provocative for a girl her age!
ReplyDelete?????????
DeleteI agree.
DeleteSiblings having fun. Nothing provocative there.
Delete-B.
When I was her age, our six cousins (boys and girls) did a pyramid photo. It wasn’t provocative, just a fun photo and that’s all this is too. What else can they do, put her on their shoulders 🤣
Deletewhat i see is 3 Big brothers teasing their little sister and she is having fun!
DeleteVery sweet girl and lovely family pictures!
ReplyDeleteI know through my Danish contacts that prince Joachim is very fastidious regarding royal protocol etc. and I am surprised that Athena is presented like a little star (the brothers lifting her, the low back etc.). This is not a graduation ceremony or something similar, it is a Lutheran confirmation, an important, religious ceremony. I do like the brooch, it looks like an heirloom.

Beautiful family. I saw on the previous post many commenters saying her outfit is too old for her. But this isn’t ours to judge (and no, just because this is a “fashion blog” with open comments, it gives no licence to criticise others!). Let her enjoy her special day including dressing up. We were young once and would have loved the opportunity to dress beautifully too.
ReplyDeleteIt is not criticism, it is observation.

DeleteBeing young and wanting to look older, still a minor that adults are responsible for decisions,
Delete@14:29: "this isn’t ours to judge" - this blog is created for our *respectful* opinions and judgements about *outfits* - of course not about persons, as you seem to believe, be it positive (no one has a problem with positive judgements) or be it negative.
DeleteHärligt med syskonkärlek!
ReplyDeleteI find Athena dress would be more appropriate for an older teen, she is only 14 years old. I wonder if it one of her mother’s dresses. Not keen on photo 6 with her brothers I know just being playful. I find that Henrik’s shirt is too big on him, the neck is too loose and the tie is cinching it together. Everyone looked very nice and very supportive of their little sister. I like the Marie’s dress, very pretty and feminine, very appropriate for church.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful young girl! The photo of her and her (half-) brothers is simply wonderful!
- Dorothe -
