Il n’y a que Maxima pour porter un tel ensemble, mais elle peut se permettre de la fantaisie et on l’aime pour ça. Son collier ressemble à une grosse grappe de raisins! Josée.

This is a beautifully fluid look, and an interesting pairing of colours for the top and trousers, which works. Then there's the chunky cranberry bead necklace which provides contrast as well as adding a third, deeper colour matching the top. So interesting, to be sure. Maxima looks beautifully groomed.

  10. The color of the top is pretty. The overall look is baggy, and shapeless. I admire the Queen wearing something different, but I don't find this outfit appealing. The pants, have no streamlined appealing look again baggy. The necklace is eye-catching, but that is where it ends, it is too chunky looking. The clutch is unique!

Baggy is fashion (you like it or you don't) as well for pants as for tops. Not everyone can wear it, one must have a certain length and body shape. The outfit is not shapeless, but it has a shape that many of us do not like or are not used yet. The necklace and clutch are matching accessories. Her hair is done beautifully. Queen Maxima likes to try new things which are just on the fashion market. The least we can say about her outfits is that they are boring. Her modern jewelry is often inspired on nature. She has enough classic pant suits when she has to be dressed for business. A concert is not business so she tries on something less stiff but very original. I think her new outfit must be very comfortable to wear.

Max really looks lovely. Her choice of outfit. Hair and especially the accessory around her neck. The whole look is classy and elegant... but still Maxima

Did not attend the midnight Liberation Service at Wageningen, attended by veterans (90 to 100+years old) who had travelled from other countries and who fought to liberate their country - but could bother to go to a music gig in Amsterdam, that really shows a lack of respect -IMO!
Fashionwise - no fashion as others as have noted, shapeless, shiny, tacky necklace.

It’s not a lack of respect. It’s a well thought out timetable decided months if not years in advance by a committee of people working at the palace, balancing a whole host of needs.

Hi, but as Dutch citizen, I need to explain this, the Amsterdam concert is not a music gig, is the official celebration of Liberation Day.
We don't have an Independence Day as Americans or other counties do, the liberation day is the equivalent to it.
The monarch/monarchs can not miss it.

Colours are lovely for her complexion. It must be a Natan design with all the excess fabric it just hangs and sort of gives it shape. The queen is able to wear this because she has height. A short person like the former GD of Luxembourg would just be a pool of fabric. The design lacks structure, as meant to be.

Very sensible outfit for the rather cold evening.
Love the colours and the combination.
The pair of trousers have a fantastic fluent cut, and the top is fluent aswell and crowned with a great necklace!

  17. The outfit is very odd. In my view, the colour of the top doesn't go well with the pants. There is too much fabric-flared top and flared pants. I like the necklace but it's a bit too chunky. However, I admire Maxima being adventurous and wearing something that's a bit on the wild side. I wouldn't say she doesn't look good just odd in a good way.

A stunning outfit. The color combination is bold and incredibly beautiful. The chunky necklace and handbag provide a wonderful contrast to the lightweight fabrics of the clothes. -Siri

Gorgeous color combination, fabric, fit and flow — but I just wish the top were a conventional blouse, perhaps worn with a beautiful ombré stole in sunset colors, rather than this (to me) off-puttingly strange cape style. However, Maxima looks very elegant and put-together.
