On May 5, 2026, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde paid a visit to the province of Flemish Brabant. The King and Queen first visited the VUB Photonics campus in Pajottegem, where the Photonics Research and Innovation Center of the Brussels Photonics (B-PHOT) research group is located. They then visited the STEAM Academy, an educational center dedicated to science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine.
Afterwards, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde went to the town square of Dilbeek to meet the local population. Subsequently, the King and the Queen visited the Nieuwenbos Welfare Campus in Dilbeek, a site where various social services and organizations are brought together to support residents. The visit concluded with a lunch at the neighborhood restaurant on the campus, together with staff and visitors.

A relatively conservative Natan! - nice to see. When I see Mathilde in educational settings I’m reminded of her Speech Pathology background. What an interesting pre-royal career!
ReplyDeleteSie sieht so farblos aus.
ReplyDeleteNice skirt suit, maybe on somebody else. Or maybe on her, if the skirt is slimmed down horizontally as well as vertically and the belt is gone.
ReplyDeleteBelle association mais avec la jupe légèrement plus courte, son look serait bien meilleur pour sa taille !
ReplyDeleteThe Queen is looking very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThis two piece suit is quite attractive. It suits the Queen quite well, jacket and skirt. I'm not sure of the color, light beige or lemon? Her hair looks lovely. Soft and natural.
ReplyDeleteNice suit with a flattering shape. Unusually for Queen Mathilde the skirt is on the long side and would be much better a few inches shorter.
ReplyDeleteI like the jacket but the skirt is too long and too wide. It makes her look broader than she is.
ReplyDeleteAlthough her hair is neatly styled, this styling is too old-fashioned. The skirt a bit too long. The color is ok for the summer.
