On May 4, 2026, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain attended the 50th anniversary celebration of the newspaper El País, held at the Maritime Museum in Barcelona. During their visit, they viewed images from the photographic exhibition “Moments,” organized to mark the anniversary. For the occasion, the Queen wore a black off-the-shoulder dress by Mango.
Mango Black Off-The-Shoulder Dress

Magnifique robe qui dégage à merveille les épaules de Letizia ; ravie de revoir ses boucles d'oreilles !
ReplyDeleteSplendid sillouette! Well done
ReplyDeleteShe does high street accessible fashion almost better than anyone!
ReplyDeleteAgreed.
DeleteA well-fitted LBD with jewels from the Joyas de Pasar… Letizia knocked this one out of the park! I love how she brought some of the most important jewels in her collection for an event related to journalism, her former profession.
ReplyDeleteI agree such an elegant look nd finally some jewels
DeleteLetizia looks stunning in her elegant, perfectly fitted black dress and the diamond jewelry from the joyas de pasar.

She looks stunning. I am always happy to see when The Queen wears her jewels which is rare. So, this is a treat!
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to see Letizia wearing some spectacular jewelry for a change.
ReplyDeleteShe obviously has access to some great pieces. I wish she would bring them out of the vault more often especially the necklaces.
I think their dress is deliberately low key for the most part, in reflection of the long rebuild towards a public who are happy with the royal family. I think this is why Letizia frequently or even most often wears accessible high street brands such as Mango. To pull the jewels out too often would be a display of wealth which the wider Spanish public might not like. I really admire the way this couple dresses beautifully but relatively simply.
DeleteYes, I agree with Anon 5/5/26 17:44 about the ostentatious display of wealth. But I think some modest jewelry would not offend the public.
DeleteA gold chain here and there or a pearl brooch every now and then. Letizia often wears some earrings with precious stones and diamonds. Tasteful jewelry enhances a woman's beauty.
@17:44: thank you, context is everything ...
DeleteBeautiful dress. I'd prefer her dress as long as on the model or shorter taking into account the lower heels. In the end she did wore a necklace. She probably read our comments "queen Letizia never wear necklaces".
ReplyDeleteI think her hem line is absolutely perfect. Longer and it would hide the shoes and shorter it would reduce the formality.
DeletePerfect!
ReplyDeleteLetizia brings out the heavy artillery to offset a mid priced dress with great success. Well done!
ReplyDeleteTellement resplendissante mais dans la sobriété, ce n' est pas une Reine dans le paraître et le bling bling
ReplyDeleteFroufrou
This black off the shoulder dress is very becoming, it suits the Queen well, her shape and height. The diamond necklace is stunning, what a beautiful piece, I would love to see her wear this more often. The diamond earrings are a wonderful size, of substance, they omit much glistening diamond factor! Her makeup is on point, her hair is styled beautiful, soft cascading waves, natural. I like her black accessories.
ReplyDeleteThe King looks well groomed and attired. So tall and handsome! They are a very attractive couple.
The fit, cut and length of this dress is perfection with those jewels as the cherry on top!!
ReplyDeleteWow, for once I actually don't like this dress for this occasion. It is a newspaper, journalism was her profession. I don't like the bare shoulders. That dress should be to the floor and for more formal occasions. A neckline like Caroline of Hanover's Jenny Packham gown the other day would be good: stand up collar and modest bodice opening. ReplyDeleteWhat a pity she didn’t wear the dress as shown on the model. Alternatively, she could have shortened it more to ‘midi’ length. This in between length takes away from a great dress
ReplyDeleteI agree with you AnnieM.
