I like what both Anne and Sophie are wearing, especially Sophie's long but light coat, and Anne's shawl. It looks very attractive.
While Camilla's ensemble is OK, I wish she'd have chosen to wear something in a brighter spring colour and a lighter look and feel to the outfit. Perhaps she had somewhere else to go later, and it looks to be cool and wet weather, but even then there are so many better things she could have worn to a garden show, and Chelsea at that.

      I agree.
Does anyone know why David Beckham was there?

I was also wondering about David Beckham, especially as Victoria doesn't appear to be with him. Agree about Camilla's jacket, a lighter colour would have looked better. I love Anne's shawl too, and Sophie's outfit. The Duke of Edinburgh looks very suitably dressed for the wet weather!

I found the answer (I'm 17:19): he had a rose named after him, the Sir David Beckham Rose. An idea from his daughter Harper for his 50th birthday, according to the Daily Mail. The rose "has a complex fragrance with hints of banana, cloves and myrrh." Good for him, he looks very stylish as always.

Ah thank you for the explanation about David Beckham. (I'm 19:10). A sweet idea from Harper!

I like the soft pink color of Sophie’s pants suit, and the longer-length, tailored jacket is a nice variation on the usual pants suit look.

Gee too bad Catherine couldn’t have continued her patronage of the flower show.

  4. The Princess Royal looks beautiful, the casual throw of her long silk scarf is very attractive, adding a splash of blue shades. Her Navy skirt blending well with the white jacket. Lovely addition of a brooch. Sophie's outfit I like, the pants and long jacket, but overall look is sloppy. Not sure if the long coat is a tad too big, but something is amiss. The lady in 2nd photo to extreme left looks stunning, in this gorgeous dress, the colors, pattern and fabric of her dress is perfection. Love the purple light in color, shoes and scarf, drawing out the color within the color scheme of her dress. Her earrings and up style hair were the perfect finishing touch. A really beautiful dress, my favorite here.

I am happy to see Camilla real pretty here - short jacket over a dress, it is NOT the short formless cape! , but a real pretty short and fitted jacket, even the wide skirt and the overall pattern, the first usually not so favourable for her, the seconds - it depends - but here is everything just right. Sophie ... dearest Sophie would look really wonderful, if she learned to take care of important details - on the very front of her outfit - of course, again, blouse collar crumpled under and pulled by the jacket lapel. No, this does not look casual, this ruins an otherwise refreshingly nice look. The Princess Royal has a funny shawl with a pocket for warmth, in good colour harmony with her shawl - it looks good, yes, it is not fashionable nowadays to wear a shawl to a jacket, I like it very much (and I almost always wear a thin loop shawl to a jacket - partly against cool air, partly as decoration - because if you get old, the neck is not your very best body part to be presented whenever a chance appears, so I like what Anne does here).

Sophie DOES look really wonderful. She certainly does take care of the details, that she cares about, knowing her own job as she does.

Except of a couple of good outfits lately, I am not a fan of Q. Camilla's clothes. However this time she doesn't look bad at all. To me she is better dressed than Princess Anne whose shawl is perhaps a useful object separately, but not in combination with a lovely white jacquet. Duchess Sophie is wearing an up-to-date ensemble of a coat and trousers. The color is good but I think maybe wear a different blouse. She should also close her coat and not put her hand in the pocket. Perhaps she was a bit tired. I cannot see it very well, but the shoes or are it winter boots, are not matching the outfit. Prince Edward is wearing a trench coat which looks too wide for him. It reminds me the black and white movies from the late 40s early 50s where the police inspectors wore the same coat. I think in the city where I live there is not one man old or less old who is still wearing a coat like this. Prince Edward looks a bit like an uncle of me. He wore the same trench coats when I was a little girl in the early 50s.

  13. One of the things I most enjoy about this site is looking through the photos, forming an opinion and then finding that my views are not in accordance! 😀
I think.Queen Camilla looks terrific. What a great outfit. I love the swishy skirt.
Duchess Sophie looks superb in this flowing trouser suit—- so much more flattering than the the dowdy long dresses
Princess Anne’s outfit okay but the shawl/wrap thing looks silly

I am struggling to understand what Anne is wearing. She lives in her own sartorial world. Not first time I am confused by her outfits.

Camilla looks ok, the jacket is indeed a little heavy for mid May and a flower show, could have picked a lighter colour. I do like her dress though. Shoes also would have looked better in a lighter colour.

Someone said Sophie looks better than in her usual engulfing maxi dresses - and I fully agree. Just not sure I like what looks like a heavy coat given the season. Edward’s trench coat feels rather weird - fully buttoned to the neck. Maybe the Edinburghs are going directly to a cold Scottish castle right after their Chelsea visit.
