On May 21, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia visited the studio and workshop of Märta Måås-Fjetterström in Båstad. Märta Livia Vilhelmina Måås-Fjetterström (1873 – 1941) was a leading Swedish textile artist of the early 20th century. Her works are exhibited in some of the world’s most important art museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
In 1924, King Gustaf V honoured Märta Måås-Fjetterström with the royal medal Litteris et Artibus, and King Gustaf VI Adolf had many of her carpets in his home at Ulriksdal Palace. Gustaf VI Adolf also visited the workshop in Båstad regularly. The most recent work in the royal collections is a woven carpet presented to the King by the Swedish parliament and government as the official gift for his 80th birthday.

ردحذفMadeleine appears more fashion-conscious and trendy than Victoria, however I actually don´t usually like what she wears. I think neither of Silvia´s daughters have inherited Silvia´s sense of style.

ردحذفSilvia looks lovely, this color is gorgeous. A classic, stylish and elegant look. Her brooch, looks wonderful, not sure what it is. Her pearl necklace and pearl earrings are perfect for this outfit.
ردحذفIthink Queen Silvia looks stunning, but in the photos it looks like the color is more deep coral or tangerine and not red. Either way, it is a flattering color and fabric for the queen. Nice detail on the jacket sleeves and the King looks impeccable, as always. They do radiate a quiet royalty.
