Japan’s Crown Prince Family Attends a Concert at the Tokyo Art Center

On May 3, 2026, Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko, along with their daughter Princess Kako and their son Prince Hisahito, attended a concert at the Tokyo Art Center in Adachi Ward to mark the 90th anniversary of Japanese immigration to Paraguay. The concert featured arranged versions of traditional songs such as ‘Sakura Sakura’. Prince Akishino and Princess Kiko are scheduled to make an official visit to Paraguay in mid-August.

    Oh don’t the ladies look lovely in their print dresses. A little splash of colour very feminine. The white shrug/jacket is a nice contrast, perhaps a less bright white would have been better, just a thought. Interesting that the young prince will be travelling with his mother, I guess the training is starting.

      @15:32 - CP Akishino & CPss Kiko are going to Paraguay. I have no idea if the kids are also going. It's husband/wife, not mother/son. ~~Ruthie

    We've been fortunate in the past to see Princess Kako wear a variety of prints and styles quite regularly, but rarely CP Kiko, who is usually seen in monochromatic suits, to be dressed in such a cheerful, colourful printed dress...and I love it. Well done to both mother and daughter.

    The floral colors and patterns are delightful, very pretty and feminine so refreshing and different to what the Imperial ladies wear, no criticism but noticeable, the normal suits and on occasion blandness of colors, this splash of colors, marvelous!

    At first I was irritated by the stark white of princess Kako‘s jacket together with the beautiful, flowing red dress, until I realized that she is wearing the colours of the Japanese flag, the Hinomaru, bravo.🇯🇵

    C’est un ravissement que de voir la mère et la fille dans leur robe colorée fleurie ; le prince héritier ainsi que son fils devraient prendre conseil auprès de l’empereur dans le choix de leur cravate car il a toujours bon goût !
