The suit Zara is wearing looks very nice on her.mi do like the length of the pants as worn by the model. However with the heels the shorter length is cute. Mia’s suit is okay, her blouse is pretty gives a feminine touch to an otherwise masculine looking suit. I am not a fan of hair tendrils which is the style. She finally used her head band to hold it back out of her face, much better imo.

I'm on the fence concerning Mia' s outfit.
I think it's somewhat smart, albeit a bit masculine
and perhaps more suited for someone about ten years older.

Are there price tags hanging on daughters Mia’s handbag?

Zara Tindall's pant suit looks completely different than the one presented by the model. The last pictures of the model on the right, show different trousers too. Zara's trousers are too short and her jacket is too small or she took some weight. If she definitely wished to wear white high heeled shoes, she could at least try some beige or light grey ones. The white blouse with the high neck is not a good combination with the light pink suit, but on top of it, the silly hat (again) does not match the pant suit or any pant suit in general. Anyway she is still looking better than the lady who is photographed next to her (picture from N° 1 to 4). Her hat must be one she found in the attick of her grand mother and her pant suit is something I never saw on anyone. The best hat is the one of the lady with the glasses. To me only the fedora type is matching a pant suit.

I agree enough with wearing whatever on your head and call it a hat. Yes it is traditional. Wear a hat that is useful, not a decoration for status or whatever. So victiroian. For the past 100 the purpose of a hat has evolved, time to move on.

17:09 do you not value tradition ? Are you English? It is rather fun to be in England and go to a race or wedding and choose a headpiece. I very much hope the tradition remains.

If anyone wish to follow tradition better do it like it should be done. Victorian ways of dressing are not showing ladies in pant suits I presume. Wearing a hat that does not match a pant suit is not traditional at all.

I think Zara Tindall is looking ridiculous, especially with that hat. The pantsuit looks much nicer on the model.

Ridiculous is a strong word, but I admit that I am not far from the same judgement. For me, this type of head embellishments are definitely somewhat ridiculous and the short trousers make an otherwise nice suit appear slightly clownesque, jacket and trousers go in different directions. Mia: OK, if this is what she insisted on - but this "office wear" suit is, on a 12 year old child, well - again the r-word pops up.

I think she looks happy and fun. Have you been to formal English races? This is the dress code and they are there to have fun.

@12.53 - at sporting events in the U.K , especially horseracing it is accepted that ladies will `dress up` quite often vying each other for the best hat. Particularly so at Ascot when the hats verge on the ridiculous. It is fun rather than fashion!.

  12. I don't think the hat is a problem, I actually like it, but paired with a pantsuit and a fairly masculine shirt it looks odd. It doesn't make it better just because the suit is pink. In general I think ladies wearing hats with a pantsuit doesn't work, if a hat is called for I prefer a skirt or dress to go with it. Better harmony that way!

Zara’s hat/fascinator looks discordant with a pants suit to me.

  14. I very rarely say this about any outfit Zara wears, but this pantsuit is a good look. The length of the pants on the model imo are perfect they match well length wise with her flat sandals. The pants with her higher heels, not as good a look. The jacket does not fit well, pulling across the middle of her waist and pants are on the snug side. The lady to the left of Zara in the 2nd photo looks great in her pantsuit purely because it fits her perfectly and the shoes are well combined as opposed to her pants length. I love her contrasting blue bag. Zara's accessory color, shoes and clutch are lacking color that adds so splash!

I’m not sure. It’s just meanness I think. They would never say it to her face and actually find her joyful and beautiful Luo close.

I think the negative comments directed at a 12 year old girl simply display the nastiness of the peope making them. I dare say Mia has chosen what she wants to wear, whether it be a good or bad choice, so respect that - she is a child!
Of those denegrading Zara`s hat, how many also praise a certain queen when she wears ridiculous ones- double standard.

@14.01 & 17.09 - comments made with limited knowledge and understanding. I was not aware that hats had to serve a particular purpose- some obviously do in branches of employment but is that only when a person may wear one? Don't wear a hat for decoration, really 17.09 you must be very dull.

Terrible choice for mother and daughter 🙁 it’s a masculin suit looking for a young girl, the style does not fit well for her, pity as she is quite pretty; then not a very good choice this time for Zara either, the ensemble is not flattering for her, better the way the model wears it.
