Ahead of the 2026 May flower sales launch, on April 14, 2026, Queen Silvia welcomed Naomi Riquelme Nagér and Verner Nyberg to the Royal Palace to purchase the first May flowers of the year. The Queen is the patron of the Mayflower organization and purchases the first May flower every year. King Carl XVI Gustaf also purchased May flowers from the young scouts.
The 2026 May flower was designed by Saga Laventzakis and Leia Sandell and is named “A Happier Everyday Life.” The flower features pink and light blue tones with a yellow center. The Mayflower is a children’s rights organization that has existed since 1907. Tens of thousands of children across the country sell May flowers, and the proceeds from the sales go to children in financially vulnerable situations.

DeleteAt 20:45 I think that’s overly harsh. As we get older we have to treat our bodies more kindly and comfortable shoes should be normalised as comfortable. They may change but do not ruin a look.

DeleteThere are beautiful and comfortable orthopedic shoes. All depend of course of the degree of feet damage. But now that there are beautiful fashionable shoes with lower heels on the market, it is quite possible to find a beautiful pair of shoes in which we can lay an orthopedic sole (look at Queen Letizia's fashionable shoes with kitten or block heels). In my country there are shoe shops which are specialized in comfort and orthopaedic shoes. The brands of these shoes are Dutch, Austrian, Belgian, Italian, German.... shoes. They have really a big collection of all kind of shoes, walking shoes, house shoes, boots for ladies, ankle boots, knee boots, children's shoes, lower and higher heels for ladies, shoes with wider width, sandals in several shapes, all kind of shoes for gentlemen, .... All these shoes are available in all kind of fashionable colors and in very good leather qualities. The prices are of a higher level but one can wear these shoes for a very long time.

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to see the Queen wearing shoes that accommodate her foot issue, well done to her. I have foot problems, priority is comfort and stability of the feet. Love her jacket and silk scarf, the combination with her pants looks so elegant.

I the white blazer is a re wear for the Queen and I love it. She looks quite stunning in this casual chic outfit. Since the event is in the palace, I would have switched the shoes out before the guests arrived and wore a more stylish comfortable ballet flat in Navy. ECCO makes a wonderfully comfortable European ballet flat with good arch support. I have had several pairs.
