On the afternoon of Wednesday, April 8, 2026, Dutch Queen Máxima visited De Bol community center in Amsterdam North. This self-managed community center was established through the social commitment of a group of residents, with support from professionals in the social sector. Residents can contribute and develop ideas, helping to stimulate the local economy, for example by creating employment opportunities.
During a tour, Queen Máxima received an explanation of the various activities organized at the community center and spoke with volunteers and residents. The bar forms the heart of the meeting center and serves as a place where residents gather. There is also a technical lab, a gym, and a mini library. For the visit, Queen Máxima wore a blouse and a waxed linen skirt from the fashion house Natan.

Gosh she is so engaging, beautiful smile. I am not a fan of leather though the skirt is a nice fit.
ReplyDeleteMaxima is a real-life Barbie...what else?
ReplyDeleteWas Barbie known for her engaging joy, hardwork, fluency in multiple languages, and Microfinance expertise?
DeleteAnon 21:10 Yes Barbie was known for all those things plus, she was an astronaut, a veterinarian and a race car driver :)
DeleteMax and Barbie also share a love of dangerously high heels.
Ha ha, 2:15 ... you've known a different Barbie from the ones manufactured by Mattel!
DeleteHair problems😅
ReplyDeleteNot at all. She looks fantastic and her guests are loving her visit.
DeleteJe ne suis pas contre cette jupe mais je l’aurais vue dans un cuir plus souple !
ReplyDeleteThe skirt is not leather. It is waxed linen
ReplyDeleteOui mais je trouve qu’elle manque quand même de souplesse !
DeleteAnother hot mess from natan
ReplyDeleteNot my type of skirt, but it looks good on her. She always has a smile for the public.

The top and the skirt don't go together, they don't fit well. Must be Natan.
ReplyDeleteThe skirt looks good, she wears this well, not my thing, regardless an excellent fit. The blouse looks nice with the skirt. She looks to have a lovely pedi! nice!
ReplyDeleteThe outfit of Queen Maxima is rewear. Especially the skirt has been described over and over again. Queen Mathilde has exactly the same, but I think Queen Maxima wore hers more often. It is what it is and it is not the season anymore to wear these colors. All the clothes the queen wore lately are made in the same burgundy or wine red or bordeaux colors and were worn during winter in the past years. I have the impression that Maxima doesn't care very much lately of what she is wearing. Maybe it will change soon when they will go on state visit to the US.
ReplyDelete"it is not the season... to wear these colors" ... I fundamentally disagree. We are ALL free to choose the colours we like, when we like. There is no colour ruling for seasons... who makes this stuff up!?!

DeleteOf course everybody can wear the colors what they like but the burgundy outfits Queen Maxima was wearing lately came out for the first time for the autumn/winter collections of the past years. In general fabrics during winter are also thicker and made of wool than during summer.
If you look at the new collections for the spring/summer this year, the colors are soft pastels like very light yellow, light green, light blue, light pink, lavendel, etc... and of course the printed fabrics with flowers, etc... and or mixtures of both,...
It is not difficult to find out what the fashion followers will wear the next seasons to come, just "google" the collections of spring/summer 2026 and future collections if they are already published.
To answer your question "Who makes this stuff up ?" I'd say the designers who work for the big and famous fashion houses and also those for the less big fashion houses. For the moment they are preparing the autumn and winter collection for the season 2026-2027.
This was awful the first time she wore it and it is still awful. It may be a Natan design but one does not have to choose it. The waxed linen skirt looks like cheap leather, creases too much and is too tight. The top is classic Natan, too much material draping in strange ways, but a good cover-up. Then the crowning glory, only it is not, just the usual stringy mess.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and statuesque, and always smiling. Even barefoot she towers over most people.
