On April 24, 2026, Queen Mary of Denmark attended DTU’s annual celebration held at the DTU Lyngby Campus. The event is a highlight of the DTU calendar and brings together students, staff, and partners. Upon arrival, the Queen was welcomed by Chair of the Board Margrethe Vestager and Rector Anders O. Bjarklev.
The DTU Annual Celebration is one of the largest of its kind in the Danish university sector and gathers students, staff, and external partners from universities, companies, industries, and public authorities. In front of nearly 1,400 attendees, the past year’s research and academic achievements were honoured through the awarding of honorary doctorates, gold medals, and innovation prizes.
The academic ceremony was followed by receptions and a gala dinner. Later in the evening, the celebration continued with music concerts held across several stages and areas. DTU (the Technical University of Denmark) educates engineers at bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD levels, with a strong focus on engineering and science.
Mary is an exceptional beauty and this is one of her very best outfits. Absoloutely stunning!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great dress, fit is perfect. I like her hair this length, frames her face and has its bounce back. The light Gree dress is nice and feminine, the gold shoes lines do not match the curves of the dress. The strap to the ankle strap cuts the foot too much. An open shoe would be nicer imo.

ReplyDeleteThis dress is over ten years old (quite likely more), but it shows how well a good quality fabric and a timeless design will stand the test of time. Also shows how well Mary looks after her health without being exaggerated.

ReplyDeleteMary’s necklace and earrings are unique and caught my eye in these pictures. The light blue stones are lovely. I don’t like the darker blue of the shoes and purse as much with this dress, however.
