King Charles III and Queen Camilla are making a state visit to the United States from April 27 to 30. On the afternoon of Monday, April 27, 2026, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump welcomed the King and Queen at the White House. The King and Queen joined President Donald Trump and First Lady on the State Floor, where they sat for tea in the Green Room. For the occasion, Queen Camilla wore a white chiffon dress by Anna Valentine.
After tea, King Charles III and Queen Camilla joined President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump for a tour of the newly unveiled and expanded White House beehive, nestled on the South Lawn near the White House Kitchen Garden. On the morning of April 28, 2026, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will host a State Arrival Ceremony on the South Lawn of the White House.

Q Camilla looks a little unsure of herself or just nervous. Understandable due to recent events. The dress is good ,I like the black embroidery /pattern that goes down the skirt with the pleats
ReplyDeleteNice dress on Camilla. I see she's sticking with the shoes and purse. I would have went dark grey but she's nearly 80 and here. This is Melania's best suit in a while. Not a fan of the woman but good skirt suit wrong shoes.

DeleteMore like Queen Camilla’s usual style but so much better! The pleats, the embroidery, the neckline are all great. The First Lady’s outfit is very business like but a lovely colour and her shoes are amazing
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely look for Camilla -- so pretty and flattering, and the First Lady's beautiful pastel yellow suit makes a warm, cheerful statement. I saw a close-up picture from this earlier today, and President Trump's tie is really beautiful. I hope he'll wear it more often. -- Jane
ReplyDeleteGreat picture of two powerful couples. The ladies are very elegantly dressed.
ReplyDeleteLovely and well tailored spring outfits on both QC and Mrs. Trump.

Camilla really dressed up her uniform with that brocade. I mean, went all out .
ReplyDeleteAnother beautifull combination of queen Camilla!
ReplyDeleteHer hair beautifully blown.
The first lady in a bit severe cut suit.
I hope the security is okey?
ReplyDeleteI prefer Queen Camilla's pink dress she wore when stepping down the plane. It is a good color and the shape of the dress is a welcoming change.
ReplyDeleteThe white dress she is wearing is a variation on all her dresses, same cut, same outdated flower fantasiy..... Mrs Melania Trump looks good in this light yellow suit. Her hair has grown a lot since one or two years.
I would love to see the details of the embroidery on Camilla's dress, it is beautiful, I am not sure what exactly with this embroidery should be "outdated" as someone stated. I have the urgent suspicion that some of our commenters use "outdated" as a generally valid negative statement, without having to say what exactly is outdated. And what is here outdated? The V line on the top part is excellent, the reversed "tight" V repeats on the skirt too too, the embroidery is beautiful, length, fabric, execution are pico bello, no collar to be seen and no zip on the front - so where is problem, ladies, who say it is "outdated"? I fear you mean the wearer herself is old, so automatically what she is wearing is oldish too. You should just think for a moment. Bear in mind that neither a more rounded body (GD Stephanie) nor an almost 80 years old body form allows you to wear anything without looking a bit awkward, fashion is made for thin people and royals have to dress in a classic way, in order not to look like a clown in some decades away when someone looks at the photos. But oh yes, florals are also outdated, if an older lady wears it... I am really angry how narrow minded some people are with their expectations - and how narrow and poorly detailed their vocabulary is - like their way of their thinking.

DeleteJust compare the pink dress in a newer style and the white dress with the usual style and fit. It proves it is not true that an older or rounder lady cannot wear something more up-to-date. I am really angry that you dare to tell someone who has the same age as Q. Camilla that her English is not excellent (I know that), but who is talking and writing several languages and that I am someone with a narrow mind and thinking. You are the one whose mind is narrow. Otherwise you knew this blog is visited by people of different nationalities. Have a nice day.
Are you relieved now?
Deletewell said!!
Delete9:23 100% and well said! “I have the suspicion that some of our commenters use "outdated" as a generally valid negative statement” … exactly. “Outdated” seems to mean “I don’t like it” and “I can’t find it in my local fast fashion store”. It rarely thinks further to other people and cultures having different preferences and needs.
DeleteQueen Camilla's embroider dress fits well and the embroidery is well done, very effective. The first lady looks beautiful, her suit looks very elegant and stylish, she looks very elegant. Her shoes, gorgeous, love the color scheme.
ReplyDeleteJolie robe chez Camilla même si je n'aime pas les motifs floraux ; j'aime beaucoup le style de ses chaussures - Très chic le tailleur jaune clair de Melania Trump dont la veste croisée va à merveille à sa silhouette !

ReplyDelete@09:23- my sentiments too, eloquently expressed.
ReplyDeleteI must say it’s nice to see Trump sporting a tie that isn’t that glaring red! It tones down his look and gives a slight aura of gravitas. Similarly, he seems to be wearing a non-glossy suit. The King is always appropriately dressed and exudes Saville Row.
ReplyDeleteEveryone is on brand and looking great! The Queen and First Lady both reflect the spring season and look wonderful in their dresses.
ReplyDeleteThe British monarch still wears suits that are old, worn and ill-fitting. He should take advice from our Swedish king who is always impeccably dressed and has a tailor who knows his job.
ReplyDeleteI'll leave the ladies and the man in there.
The pink ensemble from their arrival is by Dior. This coatdress is by Anna Valentine. Queen Camilla paired both dresses/coats with the "American Flag Brooch" (showcasing Stars and Stripes) which was gifted to the late QE II in 1957 by the then New York Mayor. Very clever move. I also like the light-yellow suit of Mrs. Trump, very nice on her, well tailored, too. Good start to the visit, I'd say.
