Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine of Denmark, the twin children of King Frederik and Queen Mary, were confirmed on April 18, 2026, at Fredensborg Palace Chapel. Before the day’s royal confirmation, official photographs were taken of Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, their parents, and their two siblings, Prince Christian and Princess Isabella, at the Chancellery House at Fredensborg Palace.
The confirmation was conducted by the Royal Chaplain, Bishop Henrik Wigh-Poulsen. Princess Josephine’s confirmation dress was custom-made by Birgit Hallstein, who has designed, among other things, Queen Mary’s accession dress and her wedding gown.

Such a beautiful and handsome family. Love love Josephine’s dress, so pretty, feminine, age appropriate. Vincent has such a well fitting suit and the tie picks up the white from his sister’s dress. I always like a crisp white shirt with a suit.
ReplyDeleteJosephine looks gorgeous and Vincent dapper and handsome.
ReplyDeleteCate.
Only you want to comment 😆❓
DeleteI agree Cate. And I absolutely do not understand the response by 16:04 who has gone to the trouble of adding a red question mark on a phrase with no meaning.
DeleteThese photos are beautiful, the twins are both so photogenic. Much better closeup views of the twins outfits, we can clearly see the features of the outfits. Vincent looks wonderful, what a well fitted and properly tailored suit, he looked so handsome. He has grown so tall. The Princess's dress up close has such interesting delicate features. Suiting her perfectly. Very good choice for this occasion. Her jewellery is so tasteful and age appropriate for her.
ReplyDeleteLovely day for the family. Their children are very attractive. All dressed appropriately.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful photos and people and clothes. I particularly like the two boys in pin stripe suits, so very beautifully tailored. For me there is a substantial clash in the idea of being confirmed in church which has at its heart humility, with bespoke clothing, diamonds and pearls, but I also recognise the pressure on the royals to look excellent, be photographed, timeless photos, etc.
ReplyDeleteYes, a very beautiful family!
ReplyDeleteI like how the Danish celebrity life, even small milestones with parties and gala dinners.
ReplyDeleteIn Spain, it was just another Sunday.

What a beautifully planned affair. Everyone looked very nice, and it was so nice to see the Godparents attending as well.
ReplyDeleteThose two (Vincent and Josephine) will for sure turn heads in just a couple of years. And - just a very, very, random thought, please forgive me being so forward - Prince Vincent could be such a good match to Princess Charlotte of Wales at some point in the future. Take it lightly, folks, please! Of course, I know it is up to these young people and no one else whom they will choose as a partner one day. It's just that I would be thrilled to see it happen.
ReplyDeleteYou’re forgiven DSC! 100 years ago we would absolutely be waiting for royal:royal matches and it would be very fun to see another in our lifetime.
DeleteReall beautiful people, all of them. Funny the picture where Josephine is sitting and Vincent standing half behind here - it is kind of old fashioned positioning with lady and gentleman. Looks nice. I have to admit that I don't especially like Josephine's dress - "appropriate", yes, demure and girlish: yes, does she look good in it: yes (it could be a bed sheet and she would look good in it), but I still don't like it. Sore points, maybe: wide skirt *and* wide sleeves, uneven hem, uneven hem seamed with flowers, slingback shoes.
ReplyDeleteHa 15:57 isn’t fashion so funny … I love everything about Josephine’s dress that you have listed as your non-likes. I think she looks absolutely gorgeous in an absolutely wonderful dress and I think her shoes are the perfection for the whole outfit.
DeleteWhat a gorgeous family and great pics too!!
ReplyDeleteThe twins are rightly dressed to the nines on their big day, excellent and age appropriate fashion picks.
Prince Vincent has a French charme to him, I daresay, he reminds me so much of his paternal father, a truly dapper boy.
Princess Josephine looks sweet and radiant ,she has taken so much after her mother.
I especially like pics 7-8-9, seems that the photographer suggested a few poises typically found in professional models' shootings.
Mum and Dad couldn't look prouder, of course, both of them are perfectly attired for the event.
Prince Christian is an attractive young man, tastefully dressed just like Princess Isabella , who can pull off a medium green ensemble (green is known to be a tricky colour sometimes) with remarkable confidence and flair.
Congratulations to all of them!
