On April 20, 2026, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia received the President of the Portuguese Republic, António José Seguro, and the First Lady, Margarida Maldonado Freitas, at the Royal Palace of Madrid. After the meeting between the delegations of both countries, the King and Queen hosted a luncheon in honor of the President of the Portuguese Republic and the First Lady. This is the first introductory visit that President Seguro has made since taking office.
Queen Letizia is wearing a beautiful pink dress. In the beginning of her marriage Queen (Princess) Mathilde wore dresses and tops with the same collar as on Queen Letizia's dress. Maybe the fashionmakers are trying to relance this collar in fashion land. I like it for a more formal dress.

ReplyDeleteBoth dress are very nice. I like the fit of the mint green, it gives a nice shape, proportions are perfect. The queen I like the colour, collar and cuffs add interest, even the length, is fine, there is just something missing for me. She looks lovely and the fit is perfect, but it just looks like a long column. Beautiful dress.
ReplyDeleteIt's refreshing to see Letizia take a break from pants and wear this beautiful blush pink dress. I love the unusual neckline and the bracelet length sleeves. The dress fits her perfectly but I would have preferred a slight heel for the shoes like the ones worn by the First Lady of Portugal. Letizia's shoes are very flat and don't enhance the overall look.

DeleteI find that the shoes do enhance the outfit. I find them absolutely gorgeous and would love a pair. I have loved watching her “shoe journey” over these past few years and think her choices are fantastic. Both elegant and not damaging her feet further. I hope she can help slowly change the expectation that women must wear heels to be really elegant. They can remain an option but not a necessity.

The ladies’ pastel dresses look harmonious together. I like Letizia’s dress, but I think I would prefer it in a shorter length, especially with flat shoes. The cowl neck style adds some interest.

ReplyDeleteI think these dresses are nice, but oooo so boring. Where's the jewelry or fun shoes or a bright scarf? It's almost ok but just not really complete. The neck lines add a little interest to each dress and the colors are nice but I think both looks are just flat.
