On March 27, 2026, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel visited the Riksdag to gain deeper insight into the work of the Riksdag and its Administration. The visit was hosted by Director-General Ingvar Mattson, who also gave them a tour of the Riksdag building. The Riksdag is the parliament and the supreme decision-making body of the Kingdom of Sweden.
During the visit, the Crown Princess and Prince Daniel met with the Speaker’s Presidium and several departments within the Riksdag Administration. They also received briefings on the legislative process, the budget process, the Riksdag’s supervisory role, and other key aspects of parliamentary work. For the occasion, the Crown Princess wore a wool blazer by Andiata.

ردحذفShe´s been to the parliament countless times and knows how its legislative and budgeting process works. She also knows the building, so why is she looking at it as if she´s there for the first time? She has frequent contact to all ministers and regularly attends the king´s council meetings (including the most recent one one the very day before), so she´s definitely already informed about current topics. I don´t understand this visit.
ردحذفAs far as her outfit is concerned: neat, yes, but utterly dull, both in colour and style. The double-breasted blazer is not ideal (for any woman), and the bow blouse doesn´t work with it. At least the trousers are good in length. Given the wide cut, a sleek narrow (and not to long) top would have looked splendid.
I think the princess is showing interest and respect for the people and the building she is visiting. I think it would be diappointing, if she were to show disinterest. I admire her attitude .

None of your business and additionally: you don't have to transpire negativity about persons and their activities that you only have limited (or no) knowledge of in a fashion blog. - As for the outfit: I am not a fan of blazers for women in general. But: this one convinces me, it is perfectly cut and she is impeccably elegant, even with a bow blouse (though also not my favourites to wear with a blazer or to wear at all).
حذفYes, one might think the Crown Princess would know about the Swedish Riksdag, the building, the inner workings. But then, maybe this was about recent innovations made, about new administrative processes, about anything she needs to be informed about and hasn't been briefed on yet. Who knows? My theory is a daring one anyway: This visit might point to her taking over more and more responsibilities, as the king will celebrate his 80th birthday soon and could possibly think about making way for Victoria's Succession. This is, of course, only my take on things. Rumours thicken already, though.

It’s hard to know however in single photos that record a millisecond what was going on exactly! Are you Swedish I wonder? - can be more frustrating when you’re seeing this locally and wondering what’s going on?!

ردحذفA double breasted coat is rarely flattering on women, especially when fully buttoned, and when paired with a plain ivory pussy bow and hair bun makes this feel very 1980s librarian. If she ditched the jacket and wore a different color blouse, this could look more modern and young, which is exactly what CPV is.

This double-breasted pantsuit looks superb. This outfit suits this visit. The blouse is pretty and feminine. She looks engaged and happy, interested in her surrounds.
