What a lovely young woman! I am curious, though. Does the family living in the States also use a family last name?

      Maybe Monpezat?

    2. If they do it might be "Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg and Monpezat" or something to that extent. More simplified, Prince Joachim holds the title of Count Monpezat, so that seems to be the most likely "family name" of this branch of the Danish Royal Family.

Monpezat is the family name of Prince Joachim after his father Henri de Monpezat who was a French count before he married Queen Margrethe. As in many European countries the family name of the father is automatically the family name of the children as well in royal families as in civil families.

  5. She is naturally very photogenic, both these photos are fabulous. She is engaging and appealing, beautiful smile. She reminds me of her beautiful mum. I love her layered gold necklaces, subtle and perfectly placed, different lengths, which is perfect. I don't like necklaces laying over or overlapping each other.

Hello dearest @ Ava, how are you doing?
I am fine and enjoyed my short Easter holidays , shame it's over...
Thank you for your lovely reply
(poster:"Maxima visiting a recycling factory in Farmsun"), unfortunately had no time to write back sooner and have to catch up on our beloved royals news.
You asked about the weather up there, oh dear, still freezing cold with more pleasant days though.
Countess Athena is indeed as beautiful as her mum and naturally photogenic.
Yes, her smile speaks volumes about her personality, must be a lovely, sweet and engaging girl!
I see she favours classic pieces, at least from what I can see in the pics (nice blouse/ shirt), I bet her polished mum knows how to guide her daughter through fashion creations.
Nice selection of subtle gold necklaces as well.
Glad to know she is to be confirmed in May.
I also enjoyed the posts re: Queen Maxima, scrolled down all the pics provided and yes, Maxima still tops my list of best royal ladies, though I can spot her sartorial defaillances on a couple of occasions.
Wishing you a great weekend, hugs!!
      👍💪👋

      Oh Ava, what sad news...
Queen Mary must be heartbroken, seems like her dear Dad was waiting for her beautiful daughter to come back home to tell her goodbye.
I still remember how rightly proud of his" Princess" Professor Donaldson was on Mary's wedding day.
Yes, he looked absolutely dignified and kind.
Heartfelt condolences to Queen Mary's Aussie family and to the Danish Royal Family.
      R.I.P., Professor Donaldson.
      ....
Ava, thank you for your lovely reply.
Maybe it's just me or something motivated by my job but I have always been aware that human life is so fragile, no matter your age: one moment you are alive, a second later you can loose everything.
That's the way it is and that's why it is so important to live for the moment imo.
      Hugs!!👋

    4. P the original 17.45 Yes indeed very sad news. I feel father and daughter were close. I'm glad Mary was able to see her father last month, that alone must give her some comfort.
Oh this is so true. In a heartbeat, life can be expired. It happened in my family to a young relative, I saw first-hand, its mentally scarring and devastating. We need to make the most of each day, and be thankful for good health and life. Its something that should not be taken for granted.
      Please take good care, Hugs!

@ Ava, I sadly know what you mean and I am awfully sorry for what happened in your family.
I too saw people in my family passing away , I know grief and heartbreak so well.
I experienced what that " tale told by an idiot" is and Shakespeare was so very right!
That's why I can look or sound a bit frivolous at times but it's just my way to enjoy life, though I am fully aware that nothing- neither my trips, nor material things- can't eradicate that sorrow from inside of me.
It's an open wound but also a chance I was given to symphatize with whoever needs support and comfort, to fathom human sorrow so much more deeply than I used to do earlier in my life.
Yes, I'll take good care, thank you so much for your most kind posts, Ava.
      Gotta leave now.
      Hugs!!
      👍💪👋

Blessings to Countess Athena, a lovely young lady wearing classic clothing , well suited for her age. Very much like the late Princess Diana, even with losing her more esteemed title a couple years ago, she still shows much poise, grace and there seems to be a radiance of calm and peace in her face. I hope she and her family enjoy the Washington , D. C. area as much I did when I lived there.
