On March 24, 2026, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, together with Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, held a diplomatic reception for newly appointed ambassadors at the Royal Palace. A few times each year, newly appointed foreign envoys and their spouses are given the opportunity to meet members of the Royal Family at a reception at the Royal Palace.
At this reception, ambassadors from the Republic of Indonesia, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, the Kingdom of Belgium, Hungary, and the Republic of Finland were in attendance. The first time newly appointed envoys meet the King is when they present their credentials during formal audiences. At the reception, they also have the chance to meet other ambassadors, as well as representatives from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

ردحذفBig difference between CP Victoria dressed in black and her mother Queen Silvia in Spring colors. I like the pink Chanel look of the jacket by WEILL, which was a famous designer when I was young. The red skirt doesn't look well with the jacket. I know these colors are combined lately but in a modern clothes style it is OK. In a classic clothes style like Queen Silvia always wears, it does not look good to me. My suggestion would be : wear a wine red top and pants under the pink jacket or replace the red skirt by white trousers if she wish to wear absolutely Spring colors.

ردحذفThe pale pink jacket is pretty, not a fan of the color of the skirt. CP Victoria looks to be wearing a pleated skirt and over blouse, hard to make out, dark color.
ردحذفIt's hard to judge Sylvia's ensemble because her skirt is affected by static cling; which is always a risk when one wears certain fabrics with hose, as the queen does. Her wardrobe team should know the easy ways to prevent this. Of course, if her stylists don't wear hosiery themselves (which is quite common among younger women), they might not be as familiar with this problem as those of us of a certain age who learned to wear stockings as teenagers.
