On March 2, 2026, Queen Sofía of Spain presided over the inauguration ceremony of the exhibition “Picasso. Biblical Roots” at Burgos Cathedral in Castile and León. The exhibition brings together works by the Málaga-born artist Pablo Picasso, focusing on the influence of biblical narratives and symbols throughout his creative career.
The exhibition features 44 works centered on biblical references and the influence of Christian imagery in Picasso’s art. The selected work representing the exhibition is Maternité (1921), in which Picasso portrays his wife Olga holding their first son, Paulo, in her arms. The exhibition will be on display from March 3 to June 29, in Valentín Palencia Hall of Burgos Cathedral.

Beaucoup de goût pour se vêtir tout en apportant une petite touche de couleur par un accessoire et souvent un bijou qu’elle affectionne particulièrement !
