Lovely outfit and colour on Mathilde. She carries both very well, and the brooch is perfectly suited to the style of the outfit, hairband included. Were I to change anything, I'd make the dress and cape just slightly shorter, but it still looks good as it is,

    2. The earrings and brooch are in a very contemporary and modern style. Not what you normally see on royals. I really like them because they are very unique.

      @ Sandra
Queen Mathilde loves modern jewelry. She orders them at Belgian artistic jewelers who work often with real silver and/or gold. She also has modern jewelry in real gemstones from all over the world and which are probably not cheap. But she has 2 daughters and they regularly borrow earrings from their mother with Christmas or the National day in Belgium or on another event when they are in the company of their mother like the Queen Elisabeth music contest every year.

Queen Mathilde's butter yellow dress is a rewear from last year. She had made a new cape in the same fabric (woolen jersey bouclé) and color like the dress (both are by Natan)
Golden earrings brand : Nunu BCN
    Brooch brand : Fahoma
Head band : in the same fabric as the cape and dress by Belgian hat maker Fabienne Delvigne
    Beige shoes by Dior
Handbag Belgian brand : "Emmanuelle" by Voor Studio
I love this color and beautiful combination of dress, coat, head band, shoes, handbag, modern jewelry,....King Philippe and Queen Mathilde have a full programme today with all the interesting visits which are planned today.

Brilliant, love this colour on Mathilde. Wouldn’t have thought this shade would suit her colouring, and yet it looks splendid on her.

Mathilde's gloves --elbow-length! -- are something we never see these days. Their addition takes this already elegant ensemble to a new level of grace and finesse, reminiscent of the glamour of the mid-C20th. Superb. Lyra

CP Elisabeth wore also long gloves in the same color at the Gala for the 18th birthday of CP Christian of Denmark. I think they are not the same because CP Elisabeth's gloves were even longer and covered her elbows and her hands and fingers are thinner than her mother's.

Beautiful, delicate color for Spring; lovely outfit. The modern earrings go well with the classic headband that evokes the image of a pillbox hat. Christine
