King Frederik X and Queen Mary are undertaking a state visit to Australia. On March 17, 2026, King Frederik and Queen Mary arrived in Melbourne, Victoria, where they were welcomed by Victoria's Governor Professor Margaret Gardner and her husband, Professor Glyn Davis, at the historic Government House in Melbourne. Following the reception, the King and Queen took a short walk in the Prahran redevelopment area.
King Frederik X and Queen Mary of Denmark then visited the Port of Melbourne to explore the port’s role in the green transition and sustainable solutions in the maritime sector. The visit included the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and a tour presenting Danish solutions in renewable energy and green transition. They also visited Melbourne Cricket Ground. For the occasion, the Queen wore a red dress by Raquel Diniz.

She looks good with the shorter hair, red dress and brooch!
ReplyDeleteAgree the shorter hair makes her look younger
DeleteI like the shorter cut I just don't like the way they did the ends. I'm sure they were trying to do a "feathering" type cut (or something to that affect) but it just looks like she has split ends to me.
DeleteMary looks beautiful, the colour certainly brings out her beauty. Frederik looks good ;they seem to be enjoying themselves.(Tara)
ReplyDeleteMy personal dislike (I can't help it ...): this type of small upright collars. Unfailingly remind me of "Chinese party member uniform" in me. But other than that, very classic and simple and feminine (waistline and swishy skirt, but not too long). This is what the Sophie, Duchess of E. could wear very well (without the collar :-) - feminine without flowers and frills and whatnot, and not too long.
ReplyDeleteThe dress is gorgeous! Everything about it is beautiful. The vibrant red colour, the slits at the bottom, the neckline & the sleeves are all very interesting features. It's also the perfect length on Mary.
ReplyDeleteAgree. Perfect outfit
DeleteI think we have seen this beautiful dress on Mary on several other occasions.
ReplyDeletePerfect for Melbourne's Autumnal weather.
Cette robe d’un rouge lumineux sied à ravir à Mary !
ReplyDeleteQM has had this dress in her closet for quite a while. I find myself saying that more often about QM than any other royal lady. This dress has a timeless elegance. I’m sure she could wear it in another five years and it would still cause the same response.
ReplyDeleteLowri.
My 5 cents: the cut of the dress is roughly the same as the blue one from yesterday, maybe opt for more variety, given she surely has many others. Perhaps she finds that cut of dresses best on her and feels most confident in them, hence the repeat. Otherwise she looks great, I wish she was wearing less makeup, looks like a mask to me, artificial and applied with surgical precision. Why not a more natural look?
ReplyDeleteMwah…. A bit boring and the same as the blue dress she was wearing last day. I miss the glamour in her. It is very a monotonous style
ReplyDeleteShe looks lovely, the red dress is very flattering on her. The brooch is a lovely touch adding interest. Love her hair this length.
