The Eden Project is a visitor attraction in Cornwall, located in a reclaimed china clay pit. The complex is dominated by two large enclosures consisting of adjoining domes that house thousands of plant species. Funded by the Millennium Commission and intended as a way of re-energising the South West, the Eden Project opened in March 2001.
