This weekend, 502 teams and 15,000 participants are gathering for the 21st Relay for Life (Relais pour la Vie), demonstrating their solidarity in support of people affected by cancer. On March 21, 2026, Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie attended the opening ceremony at the Coque in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, in the presence of the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Claude Wiseler, and Minister Deprez.
This edition also marks the first appearance of Grand Duchess Stéphanie as Honorary President of the Cancer Foundation, succeeding Grand Duchess Maria Teresa. The event highlights solidarity and collective commitment through moving moments such as the tribute paid to the “Survivors” and the traditional “Caregiver Tour,” dedicated to those who support their loved ones every day with devotion in the face of this disease.

Beautiful colour for her!
ReplyDeleteOn a positive note the teal is a nice color on GDS. The suit itself is not flattering. The trouser is too long. The jacket would be fine if open and if it sat at waist length.GDS needs V neck/open neck garments. Her shape doesn’t suit the round or closed off style. The white shoes though they match the bag do not match the suit. I always think color fluidity gives the overall look a sense of finesse and thought out.
ReplyDeleteSadly this is not one of her better choices.
Lowri.
Has she accidently tucked her jacket in at the back ?
ReplyDeleteNo. It’s an unfortunate shadow from the lectern behind her.
DeleteThe suit is a nice colour and the plain t shirt goes well with it but it's not particularly flattering. I couldn't say why. The jacket is too tight, perhaps?
ReplyDeleteThe GD looks happy and engaging, bringing that sparkle and happy place to this event, her smile lights up her face, so attractive. I like her hair pulled back off her face, appears to be type of blue earrings?
ReplyDeleteThe pantsuit is a superb color, gorgeous shade of blue. Possibly a bit of tailoring to the pants length. The jacket, not so sure of the fit of the front, or maybe its due to the closed jacket.
The royal couple strike me as such a sincere and genuine couple, what you see is what you get. Smiling and engaging. I feel they are well suited and it shows. This was a wonderful event, a fabulous organisation. Congratulations and well done to the 15,000 participants. Many of us have known either friend or family members unfortunately touched by this dreadful disease.
