On the second and final day of their visit to Madrid, Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie visited the Madrid campus of IE University.
Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg are on a two-day official visit to Madrid. On the second day of their visit, the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess visited the Madrid campus of IE University, accompanied by Ministers Lex Delles and Gilles Roth. During the visit, the Grand Ducal Couple met with Luxembourgish students and also exchanged views with the university’s leadership.

To wear something very unfavourable does not mean she looks old. You make the common mistake to equal "unfavourably looking" with "looking old" (like old persons look ... i.e. unfavourable). Think about it, while you, too, are getting older by the day.
DeleteTrès jolie tenue pour Stéphanie, tout est bien, le style, la forme, les accessoires, c'est sobre et sans chichis. La couleur est agréable. Elle est comme un petit rayon de soleil au milieu de la grisaille des costumes. Sa nouvelle coiffure lui va très bien aussi. J'ai également apprécié sa tenue de la veille au soir, en nuage rose, avec de très belles boucles d'oreilles.

I like the colours here, and I particularly like her top. The trousers are again in that very wide fashion, almost palazzo style, which she wears ever so often, and which - in most cases - do look wrong on her.
ReplyDeleteShe looks lovely, beautiful shade of yellow, pretty earrings, hair is so nice, soft with just the right amount of natural curl. The colour is so good with her complexion.
ReplyDeleteI, too, especially like the top, very soft and elegant. It is not the colour that makes her looking good, but the colour enhances it even more. Softly flowing (with good measure) is her thing, she looks really good here.

ReplyDeleteVery interesting outfit, and she really made it work. But I think Stephanie's (minor) issue is her shoe choice. I'm often slightly frustrated at how old they look and don't fit her overall looks.

This ensemble suits her shape perfectly. The pants are a good fit, and nice length. The blouse looks lovely as does the throw over her arms, this adding interest in what could have been a bland outfit, adding color and elegance. The soft color of her pants and throw are very pretty. Not a fan of the bag, but her shoes are a good color. Not liking the earrings. Her hair looks soft and natural. I do love the very subtle light streaks, they look splendid with her honey colored hair.

ReplyDeleteThe problem for many women with ready-made tops (and coats and dresses) is that when you go up a size, the item may be too wide across the shoulders, creating awkward-looking bulk and torso width in the underarm area. It is a difficult area to alter or re-tailor.
Wide-shouldered women e.g. Charlene can get away with "sizing up"; but those with average width shoulders, and a little more width in the bust( like Stephanie) or waist or hips, will struggle to find the perfect fit in garments of this style. The only way to get that ideal fit in this sort of garment is to have it fully custom-made from the beginning. Lyra
I hope that elegantly flowing stoles like the beautiful one we see here will become a signature look for Stephanie; they are wonderful on her.

ReplyDeleteThe pink outfit was also by NATAN. Everything was fitting well and perfect. The green jumpsuit on the 1st day was by Elie Saab, a big name in fashion design but it didn't fit Stéphanie.
DeleteThe top is too tight. I think it is a top she already had. We have seen her with similar tops in the past. I read that the color butter yellow is also a fashion color this spring and summer. The trousers are fitting well and the combination with the pashmina is beautiful. I don't like the clutch very much but that is my personal taste.
