Grand Duchess Stéphanie Visits the Workshop of Danielle Köller-Willems

Grand Duchess Stéphanie wore a Palmina ecru organic cotton blouse by Sezane, and a pleated cuff white blouse

On March 23, 2026, Grand Duchess Stéphanie visited the bookbinding workshop of Danielle Köller-Willems, located in Gasperich. A supplier to the Court since 2022, the workshop keeps alive a rare and valuable craft: that of artisanal bookbinding. For 30 years, Danielle Köller-Willems has carried on a family tradition passed down by her father, restoring old works and creating unique pieces. For the occasion, she wore a blouse by Sézane.

  1. J’aime beaucoup le chemisier biologique porté par le mannequin ; je trouve une différence notable avec celui de Stéphanie !

  2. Sorry, YRH, but no. While I love the Sézane top as such, I don't think it is the right choice for the Grandduchess.

@DSC: Why not the right choice? It is evident that she is not thin, in whatever she is wearing and nothing will make her look different like what she is, this Sézane piece does not change her body type and build? I mean, we see her sometimes in much too tight outfits, tight on strategically important body parts, over the breasts for example - that does not look good on anyone. But why she would not wear this pretty little vest instead of the slightly tent-like blouses we are accustomed to see?

I prefer the Sézane top as such like worn by the model. Worn on a blouse like GD Stéphanie is wearing it doesn't look attractive to me. She has other blouses and tops which look much better than this.

A bit too casual. The vest is nice by itself, but not right for her.

  6. This cotton blouse I love, its different and unusual in a good way. Its not something I have see the GD wear before. Its wonderful to see her mix it up a bit well done to her. From what can be seen, the top fits her well, not too tight as some tops/blouses can be that she has worn, no criticism whatsoever, purely observation. The blouse looks lovely, pretty and feminine. What a interesting visit to this Workshop and more importantly the GD looked most impressed and interested, lovely to see.

Why is everybody thinking that all the royal ladies have stylists to dress them ? Some European queens have probably a stylist at their disposal, but I am sure that a lot of the royal ladies doesn't have one. Grand Duchess Stéphanie was making progress not long ago when she and her husband became the GD's of Luxembourg. Now she seems to have forgotten that she has to dress herself like a GD. I have nothing against a sporty look, which I think suits Stéphanie. Unfortunately she is making these odd combinations sometimes which doesn't suit her. I sometimes have the impression that she grabs some clothes out of her closet in the morning and wears what is coming first. I think she doesn't pay much attention on what she wears. It is not important to her. The same with her hair which is not often styled well.
She is a friendly lady and she is loved very much in the GD of Luxembourg. Maybe they prefer her simple and do not pay attention at the way she dresses herself.

Love the Sezane waistcoat, love the detail on the cuffs of the blouse but there should be more contrast in colour in order to see the detail.

To sum up, with model-trained eyes, most commenters send the message: "if you are quite over model-size, don't wear things for thin people". And if those over-model-sized people wear tents covering preferably everything, then the message is: "it is aging granny clothing". I get that Stephanie is quite bigger compared to her pre-children self. But for God's sake, this is only a little waistcoat that does not make her look a tenth of a gram fatter than she is, it just gives a quirky detail to her in most cases very classic and conservative clothing.

Stephanie could use some more guidance in regards to her wardrobe, and she does seem to be having some weight issues lately, but I think her outfit here is quite appropriate for such an informal affair.

I like this top and the blouse under has a very pretty cuff, very feminine. If anything I would add a darker lipstick to brighten her pretty face.
