Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg celebrated her 70th birthday over the weekend with a family gathering. The Grand Ducal Family came together at Berg Castle for an official family photograph. The photos were released on March 23. Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa abdicated last October.
For the family photo, Grand Duke Henri, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, Grand Duke Guillaume, Grand Duchess Stéphanie, Prince Charles, Prince François, Prince Félix, Princess Claire, Princess Amalia, Prince Liam, Prince Balthazar, Prince Louis, Prince Gabriel, Prince Noah, Princess Alexandra, Nicolas Bagory, and Prince Sébastien gathered at Berg Castle.

ReplyDeleteI also would have liked to see Victoire and Hélie Bagory, but it seems that the parents do not want them getting exposed to too much press attention. I'm sure they were around and did spend time with their grandmother, though not photographed. Other than that, the rather large Grandducal family makes me always smile.
ReplyDeleteLouis’ boys seem so tall and grown. Does anyone know the recent history of their mother, his ex, Tessy? I saw her calling herself DAME Tessy Antony de Nassau on her Instagram account, which seems awfully grand. Do you know where / how she picked up the Dame title?

She does nowadays a lot of humanitarian work and is well educated and cultured.

Aha I discovered why Prince Louis’ ex Tessy is now calling herself Dame. In 2019 she was “bestowed the honour of Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Order of the Drum of Rwanda by the King of Rwanda”. Which is pretty funny as Rwanda is a republic since 1961, and the “king” lives in the UK in exile … so she is using a huge title on her Instagram to big note herself with absolutely no valid basis!
