The skirt and blouse look excellent on Mary; Frederik looks great in his suit. Such a lovely couple. Its about time the British royals visited Australia again; Edward and Sophie would be good.(Tara)

      Hello Tara.
Yes we are due for a British royal tour Downunder.
It must be at least ten years ago since we first saw William, Cate and baby George.
It would be great if they could bring the children as we have some unique wildlife that they would love to see.
I think the Sussexes are due here in a few weeks time.
I will be interested in the reception that they receive.
      Cate.

Cate, the sussexes have a private visit, as I guess you know. As an Australian I hope we don’t see them in the press at all to interrupt their private trip. I also look forward to the next British Royal visit. Meanwhile I hope Australia has not spent too much hosting Frederik and Mark. Although I love them, Australia is low on funding for their own people and this is not our royal couple

Anonymous 18/326 17:54 The Sussexes' visit is not totally private, they'll have business engagements and philanthropic activities there too, so there's is no danger of anyone interrupting a private trip if some photos from those engagements show in the press. :-)

The blue jacket is too small; she can't button it up in the front and it pulls badly on the back. - Ellie

Great to see Mary wearing a Carla Zampatti skirt.
For those of you in the northern hemisphere unfamiliar with this label
Carla was a well known Australian designer.
Several years ago she tripped up on a night out the theatre and sadly died as a consequence of her head injuries.
I think her daughters have continued to run the business so lovely to see Mary wearing the skirt.

    Cate.

Hello @Cate and thank you for bringing in the Italian born Carla Zampatti and her label.
Unfortunately, yes, she died from her head injuries, what a beautiful woman she was!
I do appreciate Mary's tribute to this remarkable stylist, the wrap skirt is flattering on her and the white trim adds definition.
Thank you for your informative comments on Australia and the Royal Couple's schedule.
      Cheers,

    2. Cate 11.49 Aussie here. Thank you for mentioning the very talented and wonderful Cala Zampatti. It's marvelous to see Queen Mary wearing one of Carla's skirts. I agree with your description of the outfit, and Yes, Queen Mary looked wonderful in this ensemble.. It was very tragic how Carla's life ended.

Simply beautiful. She has mastered the 'diplomat style' bold colors, mid length skirts/dresses (Sophie are you listening)

Another beautiful outfit on the Queen. She wears this skirt better than the model and the pairing with the blouse is perfectly balanced.

The black/white ensemble is wonderful on her, what a beautiful skirt and a perfect blouse (no collar, no high neckline = gooood! :-)) . I saw on the site ufonomore that she has quite a lot of wrap style blouses like this, in a lot of different colours. And yes, this hair length is perfect - it does not draw attention separately, it does not cover too much and it allows a bit more volume than longer hair. Mary is simply ... good.

This is an example of clever design elevating a plain black skirt. It’s lovely 😊.

The black and white outfit is perfect.
The off-white pants are again too wide for Queen Mary. The linen blazer is a size too small for her. This can happen. I have the same problem with a linen light blue blazer I have for several years. Instead of listening to the advice of the shop keeper, I should have bought the size I had chosen first. I can still wear the blazer if unbuttoned and if necessary with a long shawl around my neck.

The only suits which are more or less looking good are King Frederik's formal ones. Once he is dressed less formal his jackets are full of wrinkles. I suppose he is wearing (they both are) a lot of linen. I understand that in a hot climate linen can be the only fabric which is comfortable to wear. I can also understand that their linen jackets and pants had to stay during a long time in their luggage. I wonder if they have somebody with them who is responsable for their clothes and if necessary is capable of ironing their clothes before they can wear them. If not there are different services which can be asked for, at least if they stayed in a hotel.

  20. The Linen wrap skirt looks wonderful. The white blouse is gorgeous, I find this very elegant and appealing, perfectly combined with this skirt. Love the splash of color with regards to her shoes, these are divine!, I love these shoes! The Gold carved earrings and pendant of her necklace, are beautiful. I saw a photo of both these jewellery pieces, they are very attractive and unusual. I am very attracted to unique pieces. This has been a marvelous visit and a welcome distraction from the current world happenings. The royal couple have made really good choices in the various visits they have both made to the institutions and organisations that were chosen. Visits of substance and importance, IMO. I found this highly impressive.

Queen Mary looks beautiful! The black and white Zampatti skirt is so beautiful and looks wonderful on her. The casual trousers with the blue jacket is a nice casual look for the visit to open the new exhibit. The skirt is a real gem and I hope we see more of it.

Excellent outfits, lovely to learn about the homage to the Australian designer. I also think this length of hair looks brilliant on Mary. Maybe she can recommend her hairdresser to Kate, she seems to have forgotten about it…
