On the evening of February 22, 2026, the Prince and Princess of Wales attended the 79th British Academy Film Awards ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall in London. The Princess attended the ceremony for the first time in three years alongside Prince William, President of BAFTA. The British Academy Film Awards, more commonly known as the BAFTA Awards, is an annual film award show hosted by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
The Princess of Wales wore a Gucci dress at the 2026 BAFTA Film Awards, which she had previously worn in 2019 at an event for the charitable initiative 100 Women in Finance, of which she is patron. She also wore the Greville Diamond Chandelier Earrings and Queen Mary’s Diamond Rivière Bracelet.
This is one of her loveliest "romantic" dresses, I loved it 2019 and I love it now. But what a pity that we cannot see the whole dress because ... you-know-what is everywhere over it, like a shawl :-)) . ReplyDeleteI agree it is not becoming despite her wanting it this length which is the in thing. I find the dress lovely and feminine but the colour washes her out and coupled with the abundance of hair not her best look.
DeleteWilliam and Catherine both look very nice. I like the color coordination of her waistband and his jacket. Beautiful diamond earrings and bracelet on Catherine.

ReplyDeleteWhile I do love the Princess of Wales this look is not one of the best ones for me. Her hair is everywhere, some sort of updo would have been nice. The dress itself is okay, nothing special. I also saw a video of her and Prince William walking on the red carpet and she did not walk gracefully at all, or at least that’s what it looked like. Maybe her hair was bothering her but something definitely was not right. Anyway, it’s always a pleasure to see her and her beautiful smile. Larina
ReplyDeleteThe Princess looks beautiful in this re wear. I am not a fan of this gown, but it suits the Princess perfectly, my personal taste only. The diamond bracelet is the perfect addition, wonderful to see her wear it. Love the diamond earrings, they are of substance and look fabulous. I would have loved an necklace, may have been too much, but that's me! Her small deep rich colored evening clutch looks wonderful, the same color as her belt, clever match. Her hair and makeup are on point. Prince William's jacket color, I love! also matching in with Catherine, nice! He looks well groomed and attired.

ReplyDeleteA repeated Gucci gown from 2019, paired this time with the Greville Chandelier Earrings. I think, for this occasion a necklace/choker/collier would have added interest. Like how the belt matches Prince William's velvet tuxedo jacket.

ReplyDeleteAlthough I’ve never been a fan of this dress, the fit is perfect and I also like the belt coordinating with William’s fabulous burgundy velvet jacket. The accessories all work, but I’m not a fan of the hairstyle. A smooth bouncy blowout or half up style may have been a better match with a formal gown.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Catherine in romantic look wearing gorgeous diamonds! If I could have had any input I would have designed a hairstyle that allowed her hair to be down but also allow those amazing earrings to be seen. I also love how William's dinner jacket matches the belt on her dress--a totally in-sync couple. He looks fab in this velvet jacket too.

ReplyDeleteA perfect engagement for the Princess of Wales. Her dress is a fabulous repeat and for me her hair style is absolutely right for the event. An updo would have been far too formal and out of context.
ReplyDeleteThis is not my favorite gown I don't like the top part of it. The PoW looks a bit tired maybe it is the makeup, or the lighting. But love to see them out.

The dress is fine and I like her hair here. It looks better wavy. I’m in the minority. I don’t like this look on William, but it’s nice they match. Overall okay.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling that POW's hairstyle wants to be a proof that she didn't lose her beautiful hair during the chemo. If it is the truth I can understand her - it's seems to be some kind of celebrating of her wonderful hair.
