On February 26, 2026, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited World Central Kitchen in Amman, a longtime partner of their charitable organization, Archewell Philanthropies. World Central Kitchen (WCK) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that provides food relief and continues to deliver humanitarian assistance in Gaza.

They then joined a delegation from the World Health Organization for a visit to the National Center for Rehabilitation of Addicts (NCRA). The facility operates as a short-term residential and outpatient treatment centre, providing medical withdrawal services, psychological support and social counselling, and falls under Ministry of Health of Jordan through the National Centre for Mental Health.

Meghan’s black trousers and top fit well and are elegant. I like the wide coat—a retro design that was in vogue in the 1950s. This is clearly a serious visit. Everyone around them is focused with serious expressions, including Meghan and Harry. Glad they are bringing attention to this cause.

  2. I noticed the "serious" expressions too and thought the Sussex's don't look like happy campers here. They didn't smile once. They should be happy they are helping people.

Based on the hosts serious and focused expressions, smiling and giggling from Meghan and Harry would be inappropriate. They are behaving with respect and taking cues from the subject matter and their hosts.

Hard to say if the expressions are not understanding what’s going on, realising they’re visiting a charity with Hamas connections, bored or serious.

Is it serious or bored or don’t understand?

I like the coat with the simple black shirt and pants. World Central Kitchen is doing great work. The World Health Organization is bringing attention to rehabilitation for those with addiction. Good work.

I like the simple outfit the duchess is wearing, but the woman with the blazer and sneakers made me grin.

Such compassion-her coat was a freebie from Zara.

Blimmey..whats happened ? Her superglue has run out..shes not clinging to him. Nice to see them apart,if only to give their hands an airing. It must be very hot and sweaty

  8. I like the black ensemble, pants and top. The coat however I dislike, I don't find this attractive. Her black flats look good. The lady wearing the grey blazer, I like this blazer. Nice design, great length, her pants look splendid, slimline and length is spot on, especially with the joggers!

Two personalities who dedicate their public presence to serving others and thereby enriching the lives of many – an attitude that is by no means a given and for which I feel great personal appreciation.

They really don’t. They are very self serving and walked away from the vehicle they were granted for honourable public service. Shame because harry is very good at this.

Oh but really? She breaks families and they broke away from the roles they had that would have enabled service. Since that moment they are wannabes who fundraise little, and give away less, with no formal roles and a lot of self promotion.

Thank goodness for someone with common sense. All those stating they should have stayed perhaps forget the vicious and venomous attacks on Meghan which continue today. As she said, the royals were prepared to lie to protect Andrew, but would not tell the truth to support her. I am so glad they have found a meaningful humanitarian role for themselves. WHO would not have invited them unless they felt it would bring the subject back up the news feed at a time when there is so much else going on in the world. LRB

Vienna - you are,of course, joking. They do not `serve`, and most appearances seem to have some monetary value involved as well as often being turned into some form of promotional film.

So why did WHO invite them? Please enlighten me. A worldwide humanitarian organisation believed this visit would help, why is it for you to say it would not? LRB

@ LRB - read the comments. No one said it wouldn't help, but help what? People noted that they do little that does not benefit them. This visit has been used to make them seem relevant again. Why WHO invited them is not clear. The Jordanian RF did not meet them, and they 're (RF) heavily involved in many and varied humanitarian issues in their country.
