On February 15, 2026, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the 2026 NBA All-Star Game at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California. The National Basketball Association (NBA) held its 75th All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles that week, with the league’s biggest stars facing off in the main event on Sunday night. For the occasion, the Duchess of Sussex wore a navy cashmere sweater by Brochu Walker and indigo skinny-flare jeans by Veronica Beard.

You see people around him who are looking at screens and typing on PC laptops. Maybe the cables under his chair were already there before he took a seat. People who are going to see a basket ball match are wearing sport- and easy wear like jeans and sweaters or training trousers and a hoody like the lady next to Meghan. The brand of their clothes and shoes is irrelevant. Men and women behind them who are wearing suits and ties and dresses are probably officials of NBA or journalists working for sport magazines and news papers and maybe also security men and women incognito. An "every day cashmere sweater" means what it says : a simple navy sweater you can wear every day and for every occasion not more not less. It is not boring and Meghan's indigo pants by Veronica Beard are not boring at all. Prince Harry's clothes are not described so one cannot know what he is wearing. If you are not familiar with English expressions please don't make a story of your own.

The “every day” sweater is US$428. Called “every day”, but not every day for most of us at that price point. Harry looks good and I like his shoes.

DeleteYesterday I saw in my digital news paper a video of Prince Harry with his children made by Meghan on father's day. I think Lillibet and Arthur have a wonderful daddy who plays with them. It must be wonderful to live in an environment like they do, near the beach and the sea. I can imagine once you are used to live in contact with nature and animals you doesn't want to live elsewhere anymore..

DeleteAlthough a very simple navy sweater I am sure it cost a pretty penny! She sure seems very needy and wherever you see her she is constantly holding onto Harry. I know this has nothing to do with fashion, but I use to give her the benefit of the doubt, however there is something about her I do not like. I would hate to make her mad or upset her! I am sure the palace is happy to see her gone!

Delete@ Fitzhugh, I researched the Navy cashmere jumper on their website, its a very expensive jumper, Navy cashmere $700 Australian dollars. I researched cashmere v wool. Interestingly Merino wool is not as warm as cashmere. According to the stat's, cashmere is supposed to be eight times warmer than wool. It's apparently lighter in texture than wool, providing warmth but lacking the heaviness of wool. I apologise if this is boring for the readers, but I was very interested in the difference. !!

It may hurt the bank account a bit but 10 or so years later, it works out to be a good investment.
And to say nothing about the snug, soft feeling it gives you.
Wash and dry it correctly and it will be your friend for life.

DeleteAnnon 1645 if a person can afford a cashmere sweater good for them it is has a very soft , warm, luxurious feel. Buy what you can afford and not begrudge those that have the income to purchase quality items which do cost more. Love the prince’s shoes, he seems to favour green. They are obviously seated in the press area which would have restricted access. Lovely to see Queen Latifah enjoying the game with them.

ReplyDeleteThe fact that we are given the names of the brands Meghan are wearing makes me highly suspicious. Sounds like a commercial business deal for which there are numerous examples in the past. I will not rush anywhere to buy these items, others will.

ReplyDeleteWhy all these discussions about a cashmere sweater. There are very expensive brands which sell cashmere sweaters and there are less expensive brands which are selling them. I have one of both. The more expensive one is softer and is at least 10 years old or even more, I'll have to look it up. The less expensive one is not that soft and is younger than the first. Under both I have to wear a top in special fabric for sensible skin otherwise I'll have to scratch myself all day long. That is not the fault of the fabric but of my very sensible skin. The expensive one I can still wear to go out and the less expensive one I wear at home as every daywear when it is very cold. Last winter I also bought a rather expensive sweater in alpaca, the same problem. I cannot wear it without a top underneath to protect my skin.
ReplyDeleteI only wear them for warmth when it is very cold. Otherwise I prefer a good synthetic sweater of a good quality which can be worn during several years too. Sometimes it is better to buy 2 or 3 good classic pieces which can be worn year after year and which are not influenced by fashion changes. One could ask the following questions "Who has spent the most money ?" and "Who took care better for the environment ?"
