The President of the Portuguese Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, is paying an official visit to Spain in order to highlight and strengthen the ties and bilateral relations between the two countries. Also, in Spain nobody wants a Monarchy as in UK, Alfonso XIII was sent to the exile and they are only here, because Juan Carlos did not want to be a dictator....in fact he was Franco's sucesor but helped to do a Democracy. Spain has had two Republics....and most people want another one..
