On the evening of February 11, 2026, King Charles III and Queen Camilla, accompanied by the Duchess of Edinburgh and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, hosted a reception for carers at Windsor Castle. The reception was organised by Buckingham Palace to recognise the hard work and challenges faced by millions of carers across the United Kingdom, including professional carers and young people with caring responsibilities.

Queen Camilla: very dark. Cannot see it very well but I think she wears a good dress.
The Duchess of Gloucester has a fantastic complexion and skin! She is dignity and elegance personified. Nice soft colour of the blouse and winter chic with the vest. Sofie looks really good here too although I prefer her hair up, very nice dress from what we can see.

I always admire the Duchess of Gloucester's hair style. She must have a very good hair stylist. She has also a beautiful skin. Almost no wrinkles in her face.
ReplyDeleteI cannot see the full length of the Duchess of Edinburgh's dress, but if it is too long as usual, I think it is not a good idea for her. She desperately tries to buy dresses and other clothes by brands bought by other royal ladies but she rarely find items which suit her.
Can’t go wrong with a Carolina Herrera dress, especially if she has nice narrow heel pump.
DeleteI always get excited when I see black, Queen Camilla with her beautiful suit trimmed in what looks like black velvet is so elegant. I also like that Duchess Sophie is staying true to her style but in black. Everyone must have received the memo, black is sooooo elegant anytime of the year!
ReplyDeleteThe Duchess of G is a true beauty and love her blouse, vest and pin outfit here. The Queen looks lovely. Duchess of E, well, I really think she could use a stylist. The dress itself is okay but the jewelry, hair, and makeup are not doing her any favors. A few small tweaks could really enhance her natural beauty and elevate her presence to the level of her position.
ReplyDelete“Elevate her presence”? - not needed for Sophie. She holds herself beautifully, approaches others with grace and gentleness, is always beautifully presented in the clothing she enjoys, and is a member of the royal family which also accords status.

The Duchess of Gloucester looks beautiful. She is always so well groomed and attired. I like what she is wearing, from what I can see, particularly the pin at her neckline. This looks great. Her hair looks splendid, this style suits her well, its styled beautifully. Sophie looks splendid. I love the Queen's pearl choker.

Very busy professional women have people who choose outfits for them or shops present a selection, but the wearers make the final choice whatever the stylist recommends. I remember the ex chancellor of Germany, Mrs. Merkel, always marched around like a male politician, although she looked impeccable, and she refused to change her style despite well-meant advice and a custom-made warderobe.
