King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, together with their daughter Crown Princess Amalia, are in Milan to attend the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games and to support TeamNL. The King is an honorary member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). On Friday evening, the Royal Couple and Princess Amalia attended the opening ceremony. On February 7, 2026, the King, the Queen, and Princess Amalia visited the Olympic Village and the TeamNL House.

They look very nice in casual, warm clothes. Very patriotic colours.
ReplyDeleteOrange for the members of the House of Orange, all look nice and relaxed.

They are wearing the same clothes as the Dutch members of the different sport disciplines : TeamNL. They also wore the same clothes as the Dutch participants at the last Olympic games in Paris.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are lovely, relaxed and natural. Its marvelous to see the support from the royal family, wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIndeed, Ava, they look marvellous!
DeleteGreat photos full of smiles!!! Love that each of the royals are wearing different team clothes.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know the meaning of the scissors on his jacket ?
ReplyDeleteVerwijst naar 1 van zijn belangrijkste taken namelijk ‘ lintjes knippen’. 😉
DeleteThe scissors are the Dutch company logo of Denham who designed and produced the Olympic garments.
DeleteTotally engaged and supportive of the Dutch participants. Love their coordinated outfits.
ReplyDeleteShe looks just like her dad.
ReplyDeleteCP Amalia looks much younger in sportive clothes than in formal clothes. She is wearing less make-up and her hair has a normal long hairstyle like any other young woman of her age category. I like it.
ReplyDeleteThe royal party goers on the move again!
ReplyDeleteYes there is a strong physical resemblance between Princess Amalia and her father King WA
ReplyDeleteMerveilleuses photos où la couleur lumineuse Orange domine !
ReplyDeleteKing Willem Alexander is looking good here too. He is relaxed and doesn't look tired.
ReplyDeleteWhy would he be tired? all he does is party!
DeleteThere has been periods he looked very tired. It is not because a king's agenda is not followed on this blog, he does not have to be present at events and gatherings with the government of his country and other occasions where he needs to be present. I don't know how it is in The Netherlands, but in Belgium King Philippe has a rather full agenda regularly. Every friday he receives the prime minister to discuss what is going on for the moment and what things have priority, etc... As he is the highest commander in chief of Belgian defence, he regularly is in contact with the minister of defence. Sometimes he visits Belgian military abroad,.... These visits and occupations of the king are not announced long time in advance but they are on the news and in the news papers, not on a fashion blog. King Philippe and Queen Mathilde will be present at the Olympic winter games in Milano Cortina later on. They were not at the opening ceremony maybe because they were already expected elsewhere, etc... These days I think it is wise not to announce a long time in advance their meetings and visits. I've noticed Queen Mathilde's agenda is no longer announced a long time in advance either.
DeleteAre they going skiing in Lech?
ReplyDeleteCertainly! To relax from all the hard work in Milan.
DeleteLovely to see all three of them supporting Dutch athletes.
