On January 23, 2026, the New Year’s inspection ceremony of the Imperial Guard Headquarters—responsible for protecting members of the Imperial Family—was held at the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo. The ceremony is traditionally held in front of the Tenshudai in the East Gardens. Emperor Naruhito, Empress Masako, and their daughter, Princess Aiko, attended the event. This year also marks the 140th anniversary of the Imperial Guard Headquarters.
Wow doesn’t the princess look nice in her well fitting coat. Cute black boots too. She would look good in a strong blue colour like her mom.

ردحذفShocked, why ? too modern ? Well, I am as well, but about the fact that the Empress wears a beautiful colorful coat, while their daughter wears a dark coat which makes her look older than she is.
حذفThe black plush collar and cuffs really make this coat look so good, overall. The blue color is sublime, beautiful shade of blue. The first photo shows slight flare of the coat, marvelous! She is wearing a co ordinated dress, which I love this. The single strand of pearl earrings is a lovely elegant touch, including the pearl earrings. Love the black boots. Perfection! One of the nicest outfits I have seen her wear in a while.

ردحذفAiko porte un joli style de manteau qui aurait été beaucoup mieux dans une couleur vive comme par exemple le bleu de sa maman ; ses bottines lui vont à merveille !
ردحذفThe Empress looks very nicely put together. The colour is sublime on her. For Princess Aiko, I would have only wished that her boots would go higher up, not stopping at mid-calf. Other than that, also a good look on her (the handbag is really something a bit out of the ordinary. Nice).
