The queen looks lovely in this colour. Victoria a re wear which I am not fond of, can’t put my finger on why it is not appealing to me, perhaps military looking. The king clothing very nice but he should watch what he puts in his front pockets. Now the handsome prince, the collar of his shirt has a wide opening therefore the knot of the tie is wide as well, for me it looks loose and sloppy. I prefer the kings shirt and tie, nice tight knot.

I agree that the jacket is military looking and not one of my favorites either.

    2. I actually like Victoria´s jacket and I welcome the splash of colour. However, I don´t like her styling and I think the bow blouse is a terrible choice. There is literally no room for the bow to be, and even if there was, it´s a messy look with the already intricate jacket featuring a bold colour plus two accent colours, textured material, gold buttons, frilly edging... This jacket needs a super plain top underneath, ideally black but white is ok, with a lower round neck.
Bow blouses really shouldn´t be worn with any jacket.

Love the jacket on Victoria. Similar to several of her mother’s. Very neat and always flattering. I don’t see what you see : nothing military.

    4. I don't like the "bow blouse". I agree with 00.35 such a blouse should be worn alone, not with any jacket.

I guess I see military red coat, perhaps military is not the correct wording. Having read the above comments perhaps it is the blouse, to stark of a contrast

La reine est élégante avec une jolie harmonie de couleurs.
Victoria un peu stricte. Madeleine a une très jolie veste !
Dommage qu'elle ne soit pas sur la photo de groupe.

Silvia looks great. Sadly, one can't see Madelaine outfit. This must be Victorias favorite jacket maybe?

Contrary to other opinions, I like the red short jacket. It stands out beautifully in the group photo. However, I don't like the blouse tie hanging down in front. An ivory turtleneck sweater would have kept the look sleeker and more chic imo. Queen Silvia looks lovely. However, I feel the jewelry is too much with the plaid jacket and I would have minimized that with a simple broach or simple earrings alone. Princess Madeleine looks elegant and the sweater jacket combo is perfect on her.

  5. I'm not sure if its the length of Victoria's jacket, but something I don't like, so this jacket doesn't appeal to me at all.
Queen Silvia looks beautiful. This two piece suit looks stylish, combined with her pretty blouse, elegant. Love her two toned shoes.

The setting of the lunch - the room, the furnishings, the flowers, the candles - looks elegant, warm and inviting.

I miss seeing Princess Sofia at these events. Not sure if she is still keeping a low profile with the Epstein stuff, which is ridiculous as she was not trafficking women. I certainly hope it is not because Madeleine has decided she wants to live in her country again so Sofia gets pushed out. I know Sofia is a princess by marriage and Madeleine by birth, but personally I would much rather see Sofia than Madeleine.

Whoa the both have a place, I am suspecting Madeline will be taken on her mother’s charities when the Queen retires

Royal Observer, I happen to agree with you. Many on this site think the sun rises and sets with Madeleine. I am not one of them. Your suspicions may have some accuracy as some have observed that the relationship between Sofia and Madeleine may not be the closest.
Whoa is for horses, Anon 17:33. Royal Observer has a right to her opinion without being whoa'd by you.

    3. I also miss Sofia. But I really don't think Madeleine is in a position to push her sister-in-law out.
As far as I know Madeleine is not very popular in Sweden.

I don‘t understand all this criticism regarding Victoria‘s red jacket. It is definitely the Chanel style and the bow blouse is the classic accessory. If you have sartorial doubts, just look at old photos of Chanel.
