On January 18, 2026, Queen Sonja of Norway attended a church service at the Seamen’s Church in France, located in Le Vésinet outside Paris. The service marked the 30th anniversary of the church, which bears the name “Queen Sonja’s Church and Cultural Centre” and was inaugurated by the Queen herself in 1996.
Following the service, the Queen met with representatives of the church’s community for discussions during the anniversary celebration. The building, commonly known as the Seamen’s Church in Paris (Dronning Sonja Kirke- og Kultursenter), has recently undergone a significant renovation.
Interesting lapels on an otherwise plain suit. Then she pairs the colour tone for the blouse and shawl with the pinstripe in the suit. A silver tone necklace a good length to break up the one note blue. It is almost like she does things in threes to give a balanced look.

Queen Sonja looks really elegant in this (new ?) suit. She's really an exemple of how an older lady can look good. I love the light blue pashmina which match so good the light blue details of her outfit.

ReplyDeleteThe suit looks beautiful. The contrasting collar and cuffs are a lovely addition adding interesting to this jacket. The matching pale blue scarf is perfect for this ensemble the perfect finishing touch. I love the silver necklace, this looks fabulous. The Queen has such flair!
