Princess Ingrid Alexandra visited Karasjok and Kirkenes in order to get to know Finnmark better. On Tuesday, 27 January 2026, the Princess visited Kirkenes in the municipality of Sør-Varanger, which borders both Finland and Russia. Tana Upper Secondary School has its own dog sledding programme, and the Princess joined teachers, students and dogs on a trip to Grensefjellet. The departure took place from Førstevatn, near the Varanger Museum, and followed parts of the route of the Finnmarksløpet. At Grensefjellet, with views towards the border between Norway and Russia, the Princess met with the police and a border patrol from the Armed Forces.

Not Norwegian myself, but I think she’s the most natural beauty of the European princesses.

Are her studies in Sydney already finished ? In January in Belgium all university students have exams. Maybe it is different in other countries. CP Elisabeth has returned to Harvard after the Christmas holidays (and after she had met with Secretary General of NATO Mark Rutte).
