Princess Beatrix Attends a Symposium at Utrecht University

On January 19, 2026, Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands attended a working symposium of the interreligious network In Vrijheid Verbonden (In Freedom Connected) at the Academiegebouw of Utrecht University. The symposium focuses on young professionals who engage in dialogue from their own religious or philosophical backgrounds, deepening and enriching their perspectives on interreligious encounters.

Princess Beatrix attended the lecture “The In-Between Space as a Basis for Interreligious and Inter-Worldview Encounters in a Pluralistic and Secular Society” by Professor Dr. Birgit Meyer, Professor of Religious Studies at Utrecht University. She then spoke with young professionals from various faith-based and philosophical organizations.
