On January 22, 2026, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia attended the official opening of the 46th edition of the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR) at IFEMA Madrid. The 2026 edition of the fair is dedicated to Mexico as the Partner Country. Eighteen countries are joining FITUR 2026, mainly from Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.
FITUR is the global meeting point for tourism professionals and the leading trade fair for inbound and outbound markets in Latin America. New participating destinations include Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Zanzibar, as well as regions in Germany and the United Kingdom.
