On 27 January 2026, King Charles III and Queen Camilla hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace for Holocaust survivors and their families to mark Holocaust Memorial Day. Holocaust Memorial Day is observed each year on 27 January, marking the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. The day commemorates the six million Jewish people murdered during the Holocaust, as well as the millions of others who were killed under Nazi persecution.

Ghastly dress/pinafore on the Queen.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks well groomed and attired, I feel this is appropriate for this event. The brooch is a welcome addition, from memory I think the pendant off the brooch is a Sapphire. A nice choice and good against the bare background of this Navy dress.
ReplyDeleteNever again!
ReplyDeleteHope so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteWell done to their Majesties.
ReplyDeleteTouching and heartfelt way to commemorate the Holocaust Memorial Day.
Unfortunately, the recent history is still full of " darkest hours", mankind is still on the edge of a zero hour, worldwide peace threatened on a daily basis.
......
Lest we forget.
Glad to see the King and Queen Camilla give their support to this commemoration. Don’t like Queen Camilla’s outfit but not the most important thing today.
DeleteBelle allure de la dame à gauche de la dernière image vêtue d’une robe qui lui sied à merveille ; Camilla n’a pas oublié son bracelet Van Cleef & Arpels !je
ReplyDeleteI like the black and white dress of the lady on picture N°4. It has a classic but good shape and the right length. Also good to wear shoes indoors. Something Queen Camilla could do too : bringing a pair of shoes with her and change her boots before entering the room where the reception takes place.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, no boots indoors if possible, quite apart from the fact that they make the queen‘s outfits look unnecessarily heavy. Actually I like the pinafore dress, there is so much you can do with it and the flowing cut covers the minor bulges. Queen Camilla looks perfect for this specific occasion.

@06.45 - still no comment on fashion - yet quick to criticise when others don`t!
