On 27 January 2026, King Charles III and Queen Camilla hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace for Holocaust survivors and their families to mark Holocaust Memorial Day. Holocaust Memorial Day is observed each year on 27 January, marking the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. The day commemorates the six million Jewish people murdered during the Holocaust, as well as the millions of others who were killed under Nazi persecution.
