Extra citrines added to the necklace? I’m sure it’s an easier parure to wear, but I would have loved to see a diamond tiara! Very touching soft looks between the grand ducal couple.

I like the earrings with the citrines. I do not like the necklace and the tiara. The earrings could be worn with a yellow or golden dress without adding any other jewelery. The red dress fits the GD and suits her.I think Belgium is the only country were the receptions are taking place during daytime. No tiaras or gala military uniforms needed. I like the simple approach in my country.

No tiaras?! I come to this site to enjoy tiaras whenever they are possible! Love seeing royal jewels used! I love this delicate tiara on Stephanie!

I said no tiaras during day time. On a state banquet yes, but not on a reception during the day if you are the host for several international organisations. Not every country has a monarchy. The people who are coming to greet the king and queen are almost never royalty. They just happen to do their job in Belgium. It has never been the custom in Belgium that the king and queen where dressed in full gala outfit during these receptions to meet with ambassadors, people from the European institutions, people from Nato and Shape, their own ministers etc... These pictures do not show the people who are invited with a drink in their hands. They are all dressed in city wear. The men in a suit and the ladies in a 2 pieces or a dress. The people from Africa and Asia often in their traditional outfits...

Stephanie looks great as well as her husband. I think the citrine necklace and tiara match very well with her Orange decoration

  8. What a pity that the Citrine Tiara, a piece I actually quite like, is rather invisible the way she chose to have her hair styled. I preferred it with the higher updo. The gown is nice on her, but the necklace is massive and overwhelms her, although it's part of the parure it seems to clash a little with the more delicate tiara.

The Grand Ducal couple look nicely color-coordinated with each other’s outfits and sashes.

The second photo is so lovely.
I think the GD looks quite lovely in this dress. The color and style is perfect for her. Not a fan of the citrine jewellery, I would have preferred the Pearl Chaumet Choker tiara and matching Pearl earrings.

@22.57 I agree with your jewellery observation. Whilst her hairstyle is lovely the tiara is lost in it. The colour of the dress suits GD Stephanie but the style is very conservative and somewhat ageing, imo.
